During the heyday of Jessica Alba’s acting career, she was widely considered to be among the biggest movie stars in the world. After all, Alba starred in a long list of memorable films over the years and she also became popular for her entertaining interviews. Despite that, there is no doubt that Alba continues to be best known for her tenure as Susan Storm in a pair of Fantastic Four films.

Ever since the Marvel Cinematic Universe became a powerhouse at the box office, most comic book fans have been hoping to see the Fantastic Four join the franchise. On the bright side, once Disney bought Fox, Marvel regained the movie rights to the Fantastic Four and it has been announced that the team will headline an MCU movie soon. No matter how anticipated the upcoming MCU Fantastic Four movie is, the first actor to play Sue Storm in a widely released film will always be Jessica Alba.

Even though Jessica Alba was able to become such a big deal during her acting career, a lot of her former fans have lost track of her over the last several years. That is a crying shame as anyone who thinks that Alba hasn’t accomplished an awful lot since her last Fantastic Four film is completely mistaken.

Becoming A Star

After Jessica Alba started acting during her early teens, she caught her big break when she was cast as the lead character in James Cameron’s Dark Angel. Unfortunately, that series came to an end after just two seasons but in the end, that worked out well for Alba as it freed her up to headline movies.

After landing small roles in films like Never Been Kissed and Idle Hands, Jessica Alba would really start to make her mark when she starred in the dance movie Honey. Once Alba was able to amass a considerable fan base, she would go on to star in movies like Sin City, Into the Blue, and the Fantastic Four series.

Alba’s Ongoing Career

In the past, Jessica Alba has talked about the fact that she wasn’t a fan of the filmmaking process behind her Fantastic Four movies. In fact, she found working on those movies so dispiriting that she almost gave up acting entirely. However, Alba would go on to star in films like the Machete series, Good Luck Chuck, The Eye, Valentine’s Day, and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Most recently, Alba starred in the 2020 show L.A.'s Finest before it was canceled after a single season.

On top of continuing to act, Jessica Alba became an entrepreneur when she co-founded The Honest Company. Dedicated to “ethical consumerism”, The Honest Company started by manufacturing products for kids that weren’t made with a slew of chemicals. Even though all parents want to use products that are safe for their kids, there is a lot of competition in the market. For that reason, it is amazing that The Honest Company was valued at over $1 billion at one point. After that initial success, The Honest Company’s meteoric rise began to dwindle but it has since had a resurgence and it seems like it will continue to make a fortune.

Jessica’s Personal Life

When most people think about Hollywood, it is the movie stars that come to mind first. Even though that makes sense, it is amazing that a lot of moviegoers don’t appreciate the fact that so many people work on films behind-the-scenes. For Jessica Alba, that is a great thing as she met her husband Cash Warren on the set of Fantastic Four since he was a part of the film’s crew.

After dating for a few years, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren went on to get married in 2008, the year after Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer was released. From all accounts, the couple seems to be very happy together which is a great thing since they’ve added several members to their family in recent years. Alba’s first child, a daughter named Honor was born in 2008, then their second daughter Haven entered the world in 2011, and then she gave birth to her son Hayes in 2017.

When Jessica Alba isn’t busy working or taking care of her family, she spends her time, energy, and money advancing a lot of causes she appears to care deeply about. For example, Alba has worked to support charities like Clothes Off Our Back, Habitat for Humanity, RADD, Revlon Run/Walk for Women, SOS Children's Villages, Soles4Souls, and Baby2Baby. Amazingly enough, that is a very small sampling of Alba’s philanthropic efforts.
