What that journalist did say was that he found Brad "smart, thoughtful, funny, and irreverent." He pointed out that Brad's production company has released tons of high-quality film projects, but Brad also tackles versatile parts.
He's a smart producer and a talented actor, says the film critic and author, but that's pretty much it. After all, the journalist has "read the same gossip over the past 20 years" as everyone else, and no one -- not even high-level journalists -- knows how true (or false) the headlines or Hollywood gossip might be.
Fans liked this interpretation of Brad, but also the complete transparency about the fact that knowing someone as an actor doesn't necessarily mean knowing them as a human. Though the original Quora question centered on what Brad is like "as a human being," the truth is, no one really knows.
Except, perhaps, people who truly know Pitt. Because as fans elaborated in the comments, people who make a living by acting often have a public persona that's an act in itself. While that would be sad if it were true about Brad, fans hope it's not. After all, they need something to believe in!

She called him "one of the good ones," noted the journalist, and praised his overall character. Sure, he has a few weird flexes -- he's one of the most popular actors in the world -- but Brad Pitt is also a fan favorite and given for nearly any film that requires a hunky lead star.
