It took a few years for her modeling career to kick off, but once it did, she was walking in runway shows in Paris at the age of 16. Hernan has her own frozen food company called Emma Leigh & Co. Her grandfather founded Yankee Trader Seafood in 1994, and now it's a third-generation family-owned business. Although her family owns the business, Hernan decided to create her own company and is now selling plant-based, frozen vegan empanadas, which can be found in Costco stores in the northwest part of the United States for the time being. She has teamed up with Beyond Meat to bring consumers two flavors of empanadas: sausage pizza and beef. Hernan got her real estate license after buying her house from the Oppenheim Group when she moved to Los Angeles. Jason Oppenheim suggested to her that she should get her license as he noticed right away that she was an incredible businesswoman who knew how to make money. She joined the Oppenheim Group in 2018 and took a break from selling homes full time for a while to work on her food company in Boston. She has now returned to the Oppenheim Group full time and uses connections in the food industry to help find clients for real estate.
