When she started appearing in Kylie Jenner's social media snapshots, people began to pay attention to Jordyn Woods. But when rumors emerged about Jordyn's possible flirtation with Khloé's then-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, heads turned even more. When the family seemed to ditch Kylie's BFF, the drama heightened, with Jordyn giving interviews and the Kardashian-Jenners throwing shade at Woods.

But did that sudden jump into the headlines make Jordyn Woods more famous than she would have otherwise been? Is there a benefit to being on the Kar-Jenners' bad side, versus being a BFF? It seems like Jordyn Woods hit the perfect formula, becoming beloved because the reality TV family now hates her, and found unexpected fame as a result.

Jordyn Woods First Stepped Into The Spotlight In Life Of Kylie

Jordyn's first appearance in the Kardashian-Jenner circle came with Kylie's short-lived reality series Life of Kylie. The limited series debuted in 2017 and overlapped with Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which Jordyn also appeared on.

While she was friends with Kylie, Jordyn modeled for Khloé Kardashian's clothing company (Good American) and even walked in a New York Fashion Week show. Then, Woods appeared in the UK version of Cosmopolitan, appeared on a couple of TV series, and launched her own activewear line.

Of course, this was all before the falling out after Jordyn apparently kissed Tristan Thompson, and Kylie and everyone else freaked out.

Hollywood Roots Might Have Helped Jordyn's Success

If viewers of KUWTK thought that Kylie dumping Jordyn would make her fall off the fame wagon, it seems the opposite happened. But that might be because Jordyn wasn't exactly riding on Kylie's coattails.

Jordyn's family is close friends with Will and Jada Smith, because her dad worked on Fresh Prince. Woods also modeled a bit as a child, which doesn't automatically translate to industry success, but suggests she may have some knowledge of or ties to that world.

And obviously, hanging out with Kylie meant that Jordyn was exposed to reality TV and the behind-the-scenes details of Kylie's company (the two did a makeup collab together).

Not only that, but Jordyn is also rumored to have dated a handful of big names, including Fai Khadra, Chris Brown, and even Kendall Jenner's on-off beau Devin Booker, notes Life and Style Mag.

There was also speculation that Jordyn dated Jaden Smith, but the fact that their families are pals might explain their closeness.

What Does Jordyn Woods Do For Work?

Despite the continued speculation about what really happened between Jordyn and Tristan, Jordyn does seem to have moved on — impressively so.

She seemed to take advantage of her notoriety by releasing a debut album in 2020.

Apart from that, she also made an appearance on The Masked Singer, made friends with Megan Thee Stallion and other big-name celebs, appeared in a commercial with Snoop Dogg (and hung out with Ray J), and is now earning bank through Instagram endorsements.

In short, she's done a lot since the 2019 breakup with Kylie.

Whether Jordyn was looking for success or not, the notoriety surrounding her relationship with the Kardashian-Jenners seems to have put her on a pretty impressive path.

And since Jordyn seemingly decided she was done apologizing a long time ago, it makes sense that she's focusing on herself and her business goals.

Jordyn Woods' Net Worth Has Skyrocketed Since Kylie

She might have earned a few paychecks from Kylie's companies back in the day, but Jordyn Woods is doing fine on her own. As of 2022, she's worth a reported $6 million.

While it's not nearly as much as Kylie's billions, Jordyn's earnings almost rival that of her long-term BF Karl Anthony Towns; the NBA player is worth about $9M.

Besides, with her ongoing deals and her title as a model/influencer, there's likely no shortage of opportunities for Jordyn — even if the Kardashian-Jenners want to cancel her.

That detail might be part of why people are embracing Woods, though. Fans bashed Kylie for blaming Jordyn instead of calling out Tristan, who was later revealed to be something of a serial cheater.

While Jordyn might have made a mistake, she also did Khloé the favor of revealing who Tristan was all the way back in 2019. Unfortunately, it took Khloé a few more years (and another baby, via surrogate) to finally cut ties with Thompson.

She's unlikely to ever be thankful for Jordyn's part in exposing Tristan as a cheater, but luckily for Jordyn, the famous family's opinions of her don't seem to be hurting her career at all.

But there's also the possibility that she's not famous because of the Kardashian-Jenners, and instead is famous despite them.
