What kind of relationship do Britney Spears' sons Jayden and Sean Federline have with their grandfather Jamie? Nonexistent is about as good as it gets. If the truth were told, they hate the guy.

Why? We're talking restraining orders against him as far as the boys are concerned and vicious attacks against Jamie on social media by Jayden. Multi-millionaire Kevin Federline, Britney's ex and the boys' father has accused Jamie of abuse following an incident in September of 2019 at Jamie Spears' home.

Another source of tension: As the world knows, Jamie has been Britney's conservator since 2008, following her very public meltdown in 2007. Jamie is essentially her guardian. Put quite simply, Jamie Spears controls her life. And in 2020 she made it very clear that she wanted him removed from his conservatorship. She didn't succeed, but the Bessemer Trust was appointed as a co-conservator. Troubled Britney Spears' very pronounced distrust and dislike of her father has carried over into her sons' attitude about their grandfather. And the vibes are not good.

So, what kind of relationship does Jamie Spears have with his grandsons Jayden and Sean? A very, very bad one. Let's have a look at why.

That Incident In September Of 2019

Things were pretty cool back then. Britney's ex and father of the boys Kevin Federline were doing the co-parenting thing, sharing custody 50/50. So, one day Britney took 13-year-old Sean and 12-year old Jayden to Jamie's house for a little visit.

Nobody is saying exactly what happened, but Jamie ended up having some kind of "physical altercation" with Sean, that ended with Jamie "breaking down a door and grabbing" Sean. Britney, very wisely, got the heck out of Dodge fast.

Apparently, there were "no visible bruises or injuries" on Sean. Nonetheless, dad K-Fed went ballistic and reported the incident to the police. There was some kind of investigation, but Jamie was not charged with anything.

But there was a lot of fallout from the incident. To begin with, Jamie was slapped with a restraining order forbidding him from being in contact with the boys for three years.

And there's more. Kevin was so concerned that he saw to it that the 50/50 custody thing became 70/30 in his favor. Jamie was the villain of the piece as far as everyone was concerned.

According to pagesix.com Federline’s attorney Mark Kaplan said of the incident: “There was a disagreement that occurred while Britney and the children were visiting with Jamie at his home that led to a physical altercation that was observed by [their other son] Jayden. Britney did the right thing and removed the children and took them out of there, but the trauma to the kids is nonetheless.”

So, how are you going to feel about a grandfather that breaks down doors and grabs you? Well, if you are Sean, not very good. And to make it even worse, all of this was witnessed by Jayden.

Jamie, very wisely, has zipped it and not really commented on the incident or its aftermath.

But following the fight between Sean and Jamie, Britney, who once credited her father with saving her life back in 2007-2008, probably began having second thoughts about his control over her life. By the end of 2020, she is lawyering up and going into court to get him removed as her conservator.

She didn't succeed, but the court did appoint the Bessemer Trust as a co-conservator to keep an eye on Jamie.

Jayden's Social Media Rants And Raves

Between 2014 and 2017 Britney had a brilliant residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. It was such a success, that Las Vegas' MGM Park was willing to pay her over $500,000 per show to do another residency. It was due to begin in February of 2019. Well, things didn't go to plan. Jamie ended up in the hospital with a ruptured colon and early in 2019, Britney announced she was so upset and concerned for her father that she was canceling the residency to focus on family. She announced an "indefinite hiatus" from work.

Was it that simple? Some say that Jamie was behind the cancelation because Britney had been refusing to take her "medication".

Then came the fight between Sean and Jamie in September and Britney's failed attempt to have her father removed as her conservator in November of 2020. By that time, Jamie and Britney weren't even speaking to one another.

In March of 2020, all of this tension spilled over into an epic Instagram rant by Jayden. He called Jamie a "d***" and said that because she was afraid of him that she might "quit" music for good.

He had nothing but praise for his mom and dad, calling K-Fed with whom he was living at the time"Jesus". And he threw in that his maternal grandma Lynne was wonderful. But Jamie? He could "go die" as far as Jayden was concerned.

According to pagesix.com, Kevin Federline mumbled something about boys being boys and that he was dealing with it as a "family" matter.

Don't expect things to get any better in 2021. This is one family feud that is probably going to run and run.
