9 Jonathan Bailey Was Hoping To Fall In Love

Jonathan Bailey is an actor who has been with Bridgerton since the start in 2020. He plays “Lord Anthony Bridgerton,” and as the main character of season two, had high hopes for both himself and his role. Bailey shared, “I'm excited for Anthony... If I get to fall in love vicariously through him, with an amazing actress who's playing Kate, then that's going to be amazing... It's going to be brilliant, whatever they decide to do.”

8 'Bridgerton' Has Changed Phoebe Dynevor's Life

While her costar Rege-Jean Page did not continue with Bridgerton, Phoebe Dynevor (who played "Daphne") was brought back for the newest season. This experience has been incredible for her, she gushed, “I'd say Bridgerton has definitely changed my life. But not only in the things that have come from the job, but also just the experience of it and meeting the most incredible people; just learning so much from working so hard for that period of time.”

7 Simone Ashley Felt 'Effortless' Chemistry With Her Costar

Simone Ashley was a new face for season two, embodying the role of “Kate Sharma.” Her character had some pretty close scenes with “Lord Anthony Bridgerton,” and Ashley offered, “I think chemistry's such an interesting thing... 6 Nicola Coughlan Was A Whirlwind Of Emotions When Joining The Cast

Nicola Coughlan reprised her role as “Penelope Featherington” for the latest Bridgerton release. When she was offered this role, she had a lot of feelings, and loved the idea of portraying Penelope; “... When I got cast, I was like 'Oh my God, [Penelope's] way more than I ever would’ve imagined,' so [it was] really, really exciting and terrifying but also made coming to season two extremely fun and extremely exciting...”

5 Claudia Jessie Loves Her Choices For The Character 'Eloise'

Claudia Jessie was thrilled that her character “Eloise Bridgerton” returned for season two. She made very intentional and strategic decisions as to how her role would be portrayed. Jessie shared what she most enjoyed, “It’s more interesting to me how Eloise does romance than the idea she just goes doe-eyed. She’s like, 'Oh, yeah, I guess I am having these weird feelings. I guess I’ll go tell him.' She’s pragmatic and isn’t going to change.”

4 Luke Thompson Is Excited To See What His Character Will Do Next

Luke Thompson was hired to portray “Benedict Bridgerton” and returned for season two. Thompson enjoys this role and is eager to see how his character will grow in his connection with art. He shared, “… Where we end up in season two does sort of prime us for a relationship to [Benedict’s] creativity… which is that it's something he wanted to explore, has been burnt a bit by it, and now is keeping to himself.”

3 The 'Family Scenes' Are Ruth Gemmell's Favorite To Film

Ruth Gemmell was hired to play “Lady Violet Bridgerton” in this series. She was overjoyed with the chemistry the entire cast shared on set and explained, “The family scenes are my absolute favourite. We often film the scenes with all eight of the Bridgerton family's children, meaning it's utter chaos but always fun. We all spend a lot of time laughing, and it's always a lovely atmosphere - I honestly love those children like they’re my own.”

2 Adjoa Andoh Loved Her Role As 'Lady Danbury'

The role of “Lady Danbury” was given to Adjoa Andoh, and she could not have been more thrilled. Andoh loved the freedom she was given in the role to have fun, stating, “She can swing around the role, she can play on the offbeat... She knows the rules, but sometimes she’s like, ‘Yeah, we’re going to avoid that one. We’re going to go over here now, because that’s what I can choose to do and I do choose.’”

1 Luke Newton Is Preparing Himself To Take Center Stage

Luke Newton plays “Colin Bridgerton,” and he is trying to piece together what the future of the series will look like. He has read all the books, leading him to conclude, If plans go as they are, in terms of book by book... I'll have another one to focus on [before taking the lead] and hopefully the relationship will grow further. I'll get to see Luke Thompson take the stage and I'll be excited for that.
