The streaming wars are in full effect, and fans are being spoiled with incredible shows and movies, all from the comfort of their homes. Netflix is the big dog at the moment, but others are gaining ground, notably Amazon, who has the most expensive show ever made coming out this year.

Amazon's library is growing, and Upload is quite the hit for them. The details that went into making the show turned season one into a hit, and season two's on the horizon.

Here's what to know for Upload season 2!

What To Know For Season 2 Of 'Upload'?

Upload, which debuted back in 2020, is a show that boasts an interesting premise, and had people hooked just from its previews. The series takes place in 2033, and it's all about how people can now upload themselves into a digital afterlife.

Starring Robbie Amelll, Upload caught fire with fans shortly after its premiere, and people were pleasantly surprised at how well the show was executed. Instead of failing to deliver, the series was able to do some great things with its premise and its characters. Shortly after its debut, it was picked up for a second season.

Season two is hitting Amazon Prime soon, and series creator, Greg Daniels talked about the second season and the show's future with Collider.

"Yeah, totally. I mean they're very excited about the second season episodes, and that's one of the reasons why we're deep in the writing of it is just to try to... It's a very visual effects heavy show, and so even though we shot it before Space Force, it's coming out the month after Space Force because so much visual effects work makes the post process very long. So they really want to get on it so season three can happen as quickly as we can make it happen," said Daniels.

Before the new season gets underway, there are some key things to remember.

Nathan's Memories And Fate

One of the biggest moments to happen in season one was Nathan getting his memories back. This happened when Lakeview received its latest update, and now that he has his memories back, there is a whole new level of complexity on the show.

As we know, Nathan and his business partner were working on a free version of the afterlife, which was going to cause some competition. Unfortunately, foul play was at hand, and Nathan was effectively taken out. The revelation that Nathan was potentially the one that handed over the software was massive, and Nathan will be left to solve this puzzle and pick up the pieces.

Unfortunately, he will have to do so while working with virtually no data. The ending of season one saw Nathan relocate to 2 Gig, or the area of Lakeview with limited data. If he wants some closure and a definitive answer to his fragmented past, then he will need to dig deep and figure out a way to make this happen.

Of course, he could always get a helping hand from a friend or a love interest, though given the way season two ended, the latter could be more complicated than one would expect.

How Do Ingrid And Nora Factor In?

During season one, Nathan is romantically-linked to both Ingrid and Nora. Ingrid is who Nathan is dating before he departs for Lakeview, and she spent the bulk of season one basically in control of Nathan's afterlife, which caused problems in their relationship. She grows a lot during the season, and she opted to upload herself to Lakeview to be with him in the afterlife.

Then, there's Nora, who was Nathan's angel early on in the season. The two develop chemistry and feelings for one another, and they strike up something real. Things, however, weren't that simple, as Nora finds herself in trouble when Nathan's memories come back. She the fled to a more remote location to stay safe.

With Ingrid in Lakeview and Nora in upstate New York, relationship drama is right around the corner on the show. This will be something to keep an eye on as the season moves along. Yes, Nathan had a much better thing with Nora, but he has a history with Ingrid, and her growth could signal a change of heart for Nathan.
