Cleveland basketball ace and serial cheater Tristan Thompson and reality star Khloe Kardashian first got together in 2016. It was pure bliss for a year or so. Even better, in September of 2017, the couple announced Khloe was pregnant. Then rumors of Thompson's cheating with other women began to surface. Khloe gave birth to their daughter True in April of 2018. Despite the cheating rumors, the couple seemed, if not solid, still very much together.
But after Thompson was caught allegedly kissing Kylie Jenner's now-ex BFF Jordyn Woods in February of 2019, Khloe pulled the plug on the relationship with Thompson. Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson were canceled as far as she was concerned.
Fast forward to 2020 and the lockdown. Tristan seemed to have moved to Los Angeles. He reportedly was seeing a lot of Khloe and his daughter True Thompson. Tristan and Khloe were seen out together, sometimes with their daughter in tow. New rumors began to circulate: Were they or were they not back together?
Now, the Kardashians are not stupid when it comes to generating buzz. So when people started asked Kris Jenner or Kim Kardashian about reconciliation, they giggled or posted cryptic posts on social media. It was a very "maybe they are, maybe they aren't" campaign.
So what exactly is going on these days between Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson. Let's have a look and see if we can come up with a yes or no or definitely maybe or two.
It Started Out So Well
Apparently, Tristan and Khloe were brought together by a friend at a dinner party in 2016. The friend thought they would hit it off. And did they ever. By September, they were jetting off to Cabo San Lucas and Miami together. And by October, fans were seeing social media posts that confirmed what we all thought we knew already. They were a couple.
At times, Khloe was spotted in Cleveland where Tristan plays basketball for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Sometimes, Tristan was seen in Lost Angeles. Both gushed over social media about love and happiness.
Khloe Should Have Seen It Coming
Here's a big hint Khloe missed: At the end of the 2016 Tristan's ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig gave birth to Tristan's child, a boy. Some said that Tristan had begun his affair with Khloe while Jordan was pregnant with their son Prince Oliver.
But still, the couple sailed blissfully on. Then in September of 2017, the news "leaked" that Khloe was pregnant with a girl. The Kardashians just happened to have a picture of the obviously pregnant Khloe and Thompson surrounded by pink balloons handy for the unveiling.
Those Cheating Rumors Confirmed?
By the spring of 2018, a video of a man that appeared to be Thompson kissing two women and a picture of Thompson kissing a woman and then entering a hotel with her emerged.
Khloe was shaken. Then in Aprile of 2018 she gave birth to daughter Truel. The couple soldiered on, off and on, throughout 2018.
But the proverbial hit the fan when in February of 2019 Tristan was seen kissing Kylie Jenner's BFF Jordyn Wood at a party.
That was it as far as Khloe was concerned. Jordyn and Tristan were out. Oh, Tristan made a guest appearance at True's first birthday party in April of 2019. But that was about it.
Fast forward to 2020 and we have Tristan spending lockdown in Los Angeles. Cozy pictures are posted on social media of Tristan, Khloe, and their daughter.
Admittedly, most of the social media gushing was done by Thompson. But Tristan and Khloe were spotted out and about together. And Khloe seemed very happy, saying what a wonderful dad Tristan was.
Kris Jenner was ambivalent when she went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Of course, Ellen asked about Khloe, Tristan, and the possibility of a new grandchild. Kris just giggled and said you could never tell what might happen in the Kardashian universe.
Kim Kardashian West was a little less cryptic when she posted on Instagram in September. It was a shot of three pairs of feet in running shoes standing in a circle. Tristan and Khloe's shoes were clearly labeled. The captioned read: "Am I 3rd wheeling hard??" Is that a not so subtle hint that the two are back together? Back in April, Khloe said on Keeping Up With the Kardashians that she was considering using Thompson as a sperm donor so that she could have a second child. Are we now talking about the real thing, relationship, and all?
Well, apparently, Thompson is very keen to make a go of things. But Khloe, understandably, is more than a little wary of the guy. Serial cheaters usually just go on cheating.
So, in response to what the heck they are up to, we have decided that we probably won't find out until the new (and last) season of KUWTK goes forward. Our money is on more cheating drama, after which Khloe will give him the boot once again.
