Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Can’t Agree On A Location Or Date

Katy has been talking about wedding planning for years. In 2020, shortly before reports of needing to postpone their second wedding, Katy opened up about the wedding planning process to Stellar Magazine.

Orlando and I are united with our approach,” she said. “It’s not about the party. It’s about the coming together of people who will hold us accountable when things get really hard. Those are just the facts when you’re with someone who challenges you to be your best self.”

Katy further described herself as a “bridechilla as opposed to a bridezilla.”

Still, two years later, the couple has yet to reschedule their wedding. Speaking to Drew Barrymore in September 2022, Katy revealed that there’s contention around the wedding’s location. "There's still a plan, but the location is challenging," she said. "Hopefully, soon."

Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom Are Focused On Parenting Their Baby And Planning A Big Wedding

It’s been speculated that welcoming their first child together may have put Katy and Orlando’s wedding plans on the backburner. Their daughter Daisy Dove was born in August 2020, less than two years after the couple’s Valentine’s Day engagement.

Katy hasn’t slowed down in her career since becoming a mom, but she admits to having a hands-on approach with her daughter.

She recently explained why she refuses to hire full-time help to care for Daisy. "I am working a lot, and I've always worked a lot," Katy said. "I have a wonderful nanny, but I don't have a full-time nanny because I feel like if I had a full-time nanny then I would never be able to know how to care for my daughter like I'm meant to."

Katy and Orlando seem focused on enjoying their daughter’s first few years. Coupled with having to postpone twice, this may have slowed down their wedding plans.

But if one thing is for sure, it’s that Katy and Orlando appear to want to go all-out for their nuptials, whenever they take place.

Various reports suggest they want to have multiple celebrations, including a destination wedding. Sources say they’re also leaning away from traditional, with Katy likely not to wear white on the big day.

"This is Katy and Orlando's day, and they are going to create a special moment that best represents their style, which means a beautiful celebration of their love with the people they most care about," a source told Entertainment Tonight.

Fans can also expect a high-profile guest list whenever the couple does tie the knot.

"They've already talked guest list, and have even talked about including Taylor Swift!" the same source said, despite Katy’s long-standing feud with her musical competitor.

This will be the second wedding for both Orlando and Katy. The Lord of the Rings actor was previously married to Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr from 2010 to 2013. The exes share a son, Flynn, born in 2011. Katy was previously married to British comedian Russell Brand from 2010 to 2012.
