Of all the jobs in the world, being a massive movie star has to be one of the most intriguing. After all, in order for anyone to make it in the highly competitive field of acting, they almost certainly have to possess an oversized ego. On the other hand, once someone becomes a famous movie star, they will soon find themselves under a harsh microscope that will reveal their every flaw.

During Gwyneth Paltrow’s career, she has proven to be a rather fascinating figure. After all, Paltrow’s questionable brand Goop preaches the need to embrace a naturalistic lifestyle yet it doesn’t always seem like Gwyneth follows her own advice in that regard. After all, many longtime fans of Paltrow’s couldn’t help but take note that her face has undergone a noticeable change over the years.

A Legendary Career

These days, Gwyneth Paltrow has enough friends and enemies in Hollywood that it can easily be argued that she is among the most divisive movie stars in the world. Of course, that is to say, nothing about the fact that a sizable portion of the general public has a problem with Paltrow for one reason or another. With all of that said, it still has to be noted that long before Paltrow became so controversial, she was busy putting together an amazing acting career.

Just like most movie stars, Gwyneth Paltrow has starred in her fair share of stinkers. Despite that, it has to be noted that Paltrow has played a major role in a long list of films that are considered all-time classics. For example, Paltrow will go down in history as the star of popular movies like the Iron Man franchise, Contagion, The Talented Mr. Ripley, and The Royal Tenenbaums among others.

Starting To Change

Since she has been a star for more than 25 years, Gwyneth Paltrow has been a mainstay of the Hollywood ecosystem. As a result, Paltrow has walked the red carpet at far too many events to count and her fans have gotten to see her on the big screen over and over again. When an actor’s face is projected on a massive screen, it can be hard not to take a closer look at her features. On top of that, when Paltrow appears on the red carpet, a legion of photographers capture her image with their high-definition cameras. As a result of all that, a lot of Paltrow’s fans have come to know her face pretty well.

Since there is such a focus on most movie stars’ looks, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that there have long been rumors that Gwyneth Paltrow’s face has been changing. For roughly a decade after Paltrow became famous, most people chalked up any external changes to her face as being the result of nothing more than a change in her makeup or something like that. However, during the mid-2000s, there started to be some rumors that Paltrow’s nose had started to look smaller than it had in the past.

Paltrow’s Admitted Procedures

At the end of the day, it isn’t anyone else’s business when someone gets a procedure done to make them feel good about their looks. Given the superficial nature of Hollywood, that is especially true when it comes to movie stars. That said, it always seems weird when an actor refuses to admit when they’ve had work done even though it is obvious to everyone.

Ever since Gwyneth Paltrow created Goop, she has preached taking pride in the things that people do to make themselves feel better. In 2021, she put her money where her mouth was when Paltrow talked about her decision to get injections to her face.

While talking to BAZAAR.com, Gwyneth Paltrow spoke about why so many stars try to keep the procedures they undergo a secret. “By getting injectables, it’s like admitting a vulnerability. I think sometimes honesty is perceived to be a weakness...There does seem to be a lot of stigma around injections." From there, Paltrow admitted that she’d had chemicals injected into her face. If that wasn’t interesting enough, Paltrow even went so far as to become a spokesperson for Xeomin, “an FDA-approved anti-wrinkle injection for frown lines between the eyebrows:”.

In addition to being honest about making changes to her face by injecting chemicals, Paltrow also revealed the horror story behind the first time she had a doctor stick a needle in her face for cosmetic reasons. “I had a midlife crisis when I turned 40, and I went to go see this doctor. It was a disaster. I didn’t do anything else for a long, long time. I was bruised, my forehead was completely frozen, and I didn’t look like myself at all," With that story in mind, is it any wonder that Paltrow’s face changed over the years?
