Besides his excellent acting chops, Tom Cruise is known for his dazzling good looks...or was. He has one of Hollywood's most charming faces. That charming face went as far as to inspire Disney to mold a prince charming of their own. They modeled Aladdin after Cruise. But that prince charming face is getting older and aging, of course, and mysteriously, fans can't exactly see those age lines. Cruise's face isn't getting older; he's getting younger and younger. Fans have started to notice that Cruise gets work done on his face for a long time. But when did Cruise really start his de-aging process?

Tom Cruise First Sparked Plastic Surgery Rumors In 2012

Cruise's face has been changing for about nine years now. He first sparked plastic surgery rumors in 2012. Playboy magazine asked him if he'd had work done, but he denied it. "I haven’t, and I never would," Cruise said.

The National Enquirer said he was lying. They wrote, "Insiders say the gifted star remains desperate to maintain his boyish good looks and stay atop of the heap as he approaches his sixties — with the help of plastic surgery!"

He faced rumors again in 2016. Cruise's face looked altered at the 2016 BAFTA awards. The Mission Impossible actor looked almost completely different on the red carpet. People on Twitter commented on his new face saying that he seemed really puffy or bloated.

"Looks like Tom Cruise has just been on a Mission Impossible type mission to steal all the world’s botox supply for his face," one person wrote, while another added, "Just seen tom cruise at the baftas. Oh dear tom what have you done to your face ?? It was like a hamster in a tuxedo!!"

That same year, Cuba Gooding Jr. spoke about Cruise's face on Watch What Happens Live! "I don’t know what he’s had done, but I remember I surprised him at his house one day and he had all of these dots all over his face and I was like, 'You all right?' and he goes, 'I didn’t know you were coming' and I was like, 'I can see why,'" Gooding Jr. said.

Other outlets claimed that Cruise only had minor work done or possibly just a nose job. Well, after a recent appearance at a Giants baseball game, the jig is up. It looks like Cruise has definitely gotten plastic surgery on his face.

Fans Were Floored By Tom Cruise's Face Recently

Fans were shocked during a recent San Francisco Giants game when the cameras panned over the crowd and spotted what appeared to be an extremely puffy Cruise. ESPN reporter Molly Knight tweeted, "Gonna spend the rest of tonight and all of tomorrow wondering if some random dude convinced the Giants he was Tom Cruise."

Where was Cruise's stunning prince charming jawline? Did his hair look a little thin too? Surely his cheeks weren't that round usually? The Sun investigated Cruise's seemingly different face with Dr. Alice Henshaw. "Tom definitely looks swollen and puffy, which could be due to filler, post-procedure swelling, or weight gain," she told the publication. "Often, surgical procedure such as a platysmal plasty, or neck lift, combined with a mid-facelift could create this type of swelling in these areas, and scars are easily disguised."

Fans on Twitter couldn't figure it out. Many people on Twitter agree that Cruise actually sort of resembles the late SNL comedian, Norm Macdonald. "Tom Cruise ate the soul of Norm McDonald and 2021 just has us like, well he's puffy at the sports game," one fan wrote, while another wrote, "Norm MacDonald faked his own death to murder tom cruise and assume his life."

The Daily Mail dissected Cruise's alleged new face and concluded after talking to a couple of different plastic surgeons. The actor may have gotten too much filler. Other surgeons suggested that it was all down to age. One person on Twitter agreed with the former, writing, "Tom Cruise has either gained weight, or he has a face full of fillers. I’m going with the fillers."

Other fans couldn't believe what they were seeing. "We are all in denial...I too can’t believe this is Tom cruise. What has he done to that beautiful face," another person commented. It wasn't the angle either; Crusie was photographed at that game from multiple directions. All angles showed a puffy Cruise. Everyone was so shocked, but the fact that Cruise was with his son Connor (his adoptive son with Nicole Kidman) was with him at the game seemed to go unnoticed. It's rare for the men to be seen together, let alone photographed, but clearly, all anyone cared about was Cruise's face.

Cruise can't deny that he's had work done now. There's clearly something happening with his face, and everyone noticed. Maybe he was allergic to the kettle corn or the dirty water hot dogs at the stadium? No, Tom Cruise pays a lot of money to stay looking like Maverick, but maybe he should get his money back?
