Amy Winehouse was a music icon! With hits such as 'Rehab', 'Valerie', and 'Back To Black' she cemented herself as one of the best in the industry, making her passing back in 2011 one that shocked the world.

Even greats like Lady Gaga have gone to say that they consider Winehouse their idol! Of course, one person who may have been impacted by her passing more than others is her ex-husband. Amy was married to Blake Fielder-Civil from 2007 to 2009, though their relationship was rumored to have been unhealthy for the both of them.

With so much having happened since; fans are wondering where Fielder-Civil is today, and what he's been up to!

Updated on July 10th, 2021, by Michael Chaar: Amy Winehouse proved to be quite the success in the music industry, however, her two-year-long marriage to ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil was not nearly as successful. Following her passing in 2011, fans wondered what would happen to Blake. While he went off to remarry, have two kids, and pursue a career in acting, his reputation was tarnished following his tumultuous relationship with Amy. In 2018, Fielder-Civil appeared on Good Morning Britain to claim Amy's family was trying to make money off of a hologram tour, this came just a year prior to him suing Amy's estate for over $1 million.

Fans might already know that Amy's ex had some personal issues while they were together. From his substance problems, which many attribute to having caused Amy's, to his time spent in prison, Blake's path was troubled.

But after he left prison, Blake filed for divorce from Amy, claiming that she had been stepping out on their marriage; and based on interviews with the media, Winehouse admitted to being in love with someone else and essentially 'forgetting' that she was married.

Either way, when the pair split, Fielder-Civil received nothing in the settlement, noted The Daily Dish. Shortly after ending things with her latest love, Winehouse moved on with Reg Traviss, whom she was dating at the time of her passing.

The Daily Dish quoted Blake as saying he was happy for his ex because she was "with someone really nice" so he was "pleased" for her. Considering fans had a growing dislike for Fielder-Civil, claiming him to be one of the "worst husbands", his kind words took many by surprise, while others didn't believe he really meant it.

Of course, some say that there's no reason Fielder-Civil would have been unhappy about Amy moving on; Deadline claims that Blake left Amy to pursue a relationship with his ex, Sarah Aspin. And now, Blake and Sarah have two children together. Clearly, things worked out in Amy's ex's favor with the divorce.

In an interview, Blake explained that though people blame him for Amy's passing, she never did anything she didn't want to do, notes Deadline. He also elaborated that he still felt guilt over her death, even though he doesn't feel he's directly responsible.

The source also disputes Blake's earlier claim that he didn't get anything during his divorce from Amy; they say he received over $300K afterward, and then, he asked for millions from her estate (by suing Amy's parents) back in 2019!

The year prior, Blake went on Good Morning Britain to discuss Amy's possible hologram tour, which he claimed he was not a fan of. Fielder-Civil said that people still want to capitalize off of Amy's estate, hence his disapproval of the tour.

Despite his opinions, Blake went on to request over a million from Amy's estate a year later, proving that he really hasn't changed all that much!
