Brigitte Nielsen's first child was born in 1984 (with her first husband Kasper Winding). Julian Winding grew up with his father and was reportedly never close with his mother. These days, Julian is a musician and composer.
Then came Killian Marcus Nielsen, whose name may officially be Killian Marcus Gastineau. Killian's father is Brigitte's ex, football player Mark Gastineau. More on that particular Nielsen kid shortly.
While Brigitte had a somewhat brief relationship with Mark Gastineau, she later had two children with Raoul Meyer. Those two children were Douglas and Raoul Jr.
And finally, Brigitte married Mattia and welcomed her daughter, Frida, in what was an impressively late pregnancy for the actress.
Was Mark Gastineau Married To Brigitte Nielsen?
Though Brigitte had various marriages over the years, she never tied the knot with Mark Gastineau. However, the two were publicly an item, apparently from 1998 to 1990, and Gastineau never denied being the father of Nielsen's child.
The problem was, Brigitte didn't appear keen on maintaining a relationship between her son and his father, nor did she care to stay with Gastineau after their child was born.
Who Is Killian Marcus Nielsen?
One interesting fact about Killian is that he's known by a couple of different names. Though various websites state that his full name is either Killian Marcus Nielsen or Killian Marcus Gastineau, it would seem that Brigitte intentionally didn't give her son his father's last name.
The fact is, Mark Gastineau didn't get to be in his son's life when the boy was younger. Brigitte reportedly didn't tell Killian about his paternity until he was ten years old, according to an interview from 2019. Ostensibly, that meant Brigitte didn't give her child his father's surname.
What's interesting is that despite tabloids referring to him as Killian, it seems that the now-grown Nielsen's dad calls him Marcus. It makes sense, of course, given that the middle name Brigitte apparently gave her son was in honor of his dad (whose real name is Marcus Dell Gastineau).
But Marcus was born in 1989, Brigitte and Mark split a year later, and the actress reportedly whisked her son away to Milan. In an interview, Gastineau explained that "She had him and went to Milan," but fortunately, Mark was able to reconnect with his son years later.
As of 2019, Marcus and his wife allegedly planned to move to the United States to be near his dad and stepmom, Jo Ann. But he's already grown close to his family on his dad's side.
Who Is Brittny Gastineau's Father?
For anyone who's heard of Mark Gastineau's football career (and subsequent health issues), the name Brittny Gastineau is also brought up often. As it turns out, Gastineau had another child before Killian Marcus. His daughter Brittny was similarly distant from her father as a child, according to Gastineau's recent interview, but he was married to her mother, Lisa, at the time.
Various media outlets reported that Brittny was shocked to learn of her younger brother's existence, quoting Mark's older child as saying she found out about her half-brother because her mother bumped into Brigitte at Ivana Trump's wedding.
Brittny and her brother, who does go by Marcus in person but whose social media indicates his legal name is Killian Nielsen, met his reality-show sister back in 2010. Brittny elaborated that her brother, having grown up in Italy, didn't speak much English.
All the same, it was "really very weird and very emotional," Gastineau explained, but she "definitely" wanted to be close to her brother.
What Does Killian Marcus Nielsen Do?
Because the focus is often on Brigitte's other children (and marriages), not much is known about Marcus Nielsen. His social media shows his wife, Fabiana, and plenty of love for Marcus' mom. But there's not much else to go off of.
Except for the fact that Marcus' Facebook page denotes that he's an artist, though no word on what type, exactly. But he does appear to be living the life in Italy, and knowing that he's finally connected with his family is all his fans can hope for.
