Updated January 2024: Eliza Dushku has not acted since 2017. At the time, she had been cast to play attorney JP Nunnelly in the CBS show 'Bull'. However, after Dushku made it public knowledge that she was sexually harassed by a co-star as well as the crew, she was fired after three episodes. After that occurred, Dushku was paid $9.3 million by CBS as a settlement. Dushku then returned to her native Boston, where she has been raising her two children with her husband, Peter Palandjian.

Babes from the 1990s, like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr., keep obsessed fans topped up these days on Instagram, but Eliza is one of those lesser-known actresses who doesn't have millions of social media followers or multiple series under her belt.

That's not to say that she isn't active online or on the screen, though. As IMDb notes, after Dushku played Faith on Buffy (and Angel prior to that), she had plenty more roles on the small and big screens. For one, she had a recurring role on Tru Calling in the early '00s.

It hasn't all been sunshine and rainbows for Eliza, though. As Daily Mail reported, the actress admitted that she'd struggled with sobriety for years. The trouble began when she was only 14, Eliza admitted.

While speaking to a group of high schoolers at an outreach event, the talented leading lady noted that things got so bad at one point that her brother banned her from seeing his daughter. But with effort, time and plenty of support from her loved ones, Eliza moved past her addiction and is in recovery.

That challenge also led Eliza to go back to college at age 36. She clearly considers completing her education a highlight of her career, despite having achieved fame without it.

And while she wasn't studying (and sometimes during), Eliza grew her family. She married Peter Palandjian, the CEO of a real estate company, and the pair welcomed their son, Philip, in 2019.

But as far as Eliza's acting career goes, it seems like she's hit pause on that trajectory. It's not because she's not interested in getting back on set, though: in 2017, she was fired from the series Bull, which led to a massive lawsuit against CBS, notes New York Times.

The lawsuit came after Dushku alleged that she was sexually harassed by a co-star on Bull. CBS paid out a $9.5 million settlement. Dushku may have been happy with the monetary outcome but has said she would rather work than be pushed out of the industry by others' inappropriate actions.
