Jennifer Coolidge has been active in Hollywood since 1993. She was 32 years old when her showbiz career began. For several years, she was only able to get supporting roles in movies and guest appearances on TV. It wasn’t until 1999 that Coolidge started getting more recognition for her roles in American Pie and Legally Blonde.

While Coolidge was also a supporting actress in Legally Blonde with Reese Witherspoon, fans loved her character. One of the most-remembered scenes in the movie is the “bend and snap” sequence, made popular partly because of Coolidge’s phenomenal acting!

Jennifer Coolidge played a big part in Ariana Grande’s new music video for Thank You, Next. She reprised her role as Paulette from Legally Blonde, with Ariana acting as Elle Woods. The music video had Coolidge replaying the “bend and snap” scene in the nail salon...and she even got the mailman in the end!

14 2 Broke Girls

One of Jennifer Coolidge’s biggest roles was in 2 Broke Girls, playing Sophie Kerchinsky, a glamorous Polish house cleaner. She based the character on one of her own cleaning ladies she had in New York. Coolidge talked about how her cleaning lady was also Polish and always had her hair and makeup done, with diamonds on, while she was cleaning.

13 Honorary Muse

In February 2020, Jennifer Coolidge was an honorary muse in The Krewe of Muses parade. Every year, "a woman who embodies the attributes and spirit of the nine Muses is honored. The Honorary Muse rides in a coveted spot on a 17-foot tall, fiber optic, high-heel shoe at the beginning of the parade, and a charitable contribution is made to a selected charity."

Like A Boss boasts a star-studded cast, including Tiffany Haddish, Rose Byrne, Salma Hayek, and Jennifer Coolidge. It’s a movie about women and the amazing friendships in their lives, and Coolidge said it was like that on set, too. She got man advice from Salma, went out on the town with Rose, and laughed with Tiffany.

It seems as though Jennifer Coolidge has dabbled in a little bit of everything, and she does it all well! Dr. Dolittle: Tail to the Chief is the fourth Dr. Dolittle, featuring Kyla Pratt. Jennifer Coolidge joined Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner in the 2014 film, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. She played the driving instructor, Ms. Suggs. You can find her in one of the funniest scenes in the entire movie, as she is administering Anthony’s driving test.

9 Brief Stint On Broadway

A new version of the play Elling premiered on Broadway in 2010. It is completely different from both the 2007 theater adaptation and the film. The main characters are mismatched roommates and are played by Brendan Fraser and Denis O’Hare. Jennifer Coolidge plays Reidun, the love interest of Brendan Fraser.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager is about a teenager who gets pregnant, and all the other drama that comes along with being in high school. Jennifer Coolidge played Betty Boykewich, who got married to one of the rich men on the show. This made her a stepmom to his son, who was one of the main characters.
