If you all know The Black Eyed Peas, then you surely must know Fergie Duhamel, who was a part of the group along with Will. i. am, Taboo, and Ap.de.ap. The band had won a Grammy Award for Best Music Video, for Best Pop Vocal Album, and a Juno Award for International Album of the Year, and many more.
Motherhood Comes First
Previously, there were four other members in the group, Sierra Swan, Kim Hill, and Dante Santiago but now, Fergie has joined them as well, splitting from the famous band and living her own life.
USA Today reported that in a recent interview with Billboard, the Black Eyed Peas revealed that their former member, Fergie, 45, is now focusing on the hardest job in the world and that's being a mom.
"That's a hard job, and that's what she really wants to do and we're here for her," Will.i.am said, adding that Fergie knows how to contact her band members for a retreat or a breakaway. The rapper also stated that it was the way Fergie had designed it so they are all respecting her design.
"We love Fergie, and we don't want anything but awesomeness for her."
From Band Member To A Fan
Apl.de.ap also stated that Fergie will always be their sister. Due to the band's busy schedule, The Dutchess singer isn't able to get the best of both worlds but the rest of the members support her and her decision.
Will also disclosed that Fergie hasn't heard the new album with the new member, Soul in it but is going to hear it with the rest of their fans. He also expresses his concern about whether Fergie would like it or not and says that they try to keep in touch.
"We reach out every once in a while and say our hellos and happy birthdays and Merry Christmas and Happy Easter."
Fergie does indeed know where the band is at which is at their studio, so even if she wants to rejoin, then she knows where to drop by.
Taboo said that while Fergie is busy doing her mom thing, they are developing an amazing artist, Soul who is part of their new album. They even released an album titled, Translation which features J. Rey Soul, Shakira, J Balvin, Maluma, and many more artists.
Woman Of The Year Since 2010!
Fergie gave birth to her Axl Jack in 2013 with her ex-husband, Josh Duhamel, 47, who is an actor and model.
Fergie was originally in the girl group, Wild Orchid until 2002 when she joined The Black Eyed Peas along with Apl.de.ap and Taboo and sang several mega-hits of the time which include, Where Is The Love, I Gotta Feeling, Boom Boom Pow, Hey Mama and Let's Get Started.
She stayed with the group and continued to release smash hit albums with them. Fergie also hosted the Fox reality singing competition, The Four, and has given her voice to various animated shows and movies such as Peanuts and Charlie Brown.
She even released a solo album in 2006 titled The Dutchess, followed by a single titled Fergalicious that peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100. She launched her first fragrance Outspoken in 2010, and since then released four more fragrances under Avon.
The singer, songwriter, and actress has personally achieved many awards such as Grammy Award for Best Rap song, MTV Video Music Award for Best Female Video, and Billboard Music Award for Woman of the Year in 2010.
