Chris Rock’s Everybody Hates Chris aired on UPN/CW for four seasons. It centered around a younger, fictionalized version of comedian Chris Rock growing up in 1980s Brooklyn, New York. The show and its actors were nominated for several awards.

In 2006, Everybody Hates Chris won the Young Artist Award for Best Family Television Series (Comedy) and the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

In 2009, Chris Rock chose to end the hit show at its peak before The CW decided to cancel it. Since the show ended, its stars have gone on to continue acting in TV shows and movies. Continue reading to see where the stars have ended up in their careers.

Updated August 2023: In the years since 'Everybody Hates Chris' aired, all the actors on the show, both young and old have remained a constant in Hollywood. While some have had more success than others, the one constant that each has in common is that they are successful working actors.

While some have chosen to remain more in the spotlight than their former co-stars, those who made six figures on the show were able to amass a fortune that allows them to pick and choose the projects they want to do. As such, several have projects in various stages of production that will be released later this year or into the first part of 2024. The exact release dates will become clearer when the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strike comes to an end.

9 Tyler James Williams

Tyler James Williams has had much career success since starring as a fictionalized, younger version of Chris Rock on Everybody Hates Chris. Earlier this year, Williams won his first Golden Globe for Best Supporting TV Actor for his role as Gregory Eddie on Abbott Elementary. Before Abbott, he played opposite Sarah Hyland in the romantic comedy The Wedding Year.

Williams has also starred in the Disney movie Let It Shine, Whiskey Cavalier, and The United States vs. Billie Holiday.

8 Tichina Arnold

Tichina Arnold has starred in several TV shows and movies since playing Tyler’s onscreen mother Rochelle. She guest starred in the series Pair of Kings, Are We There Yet, and Raising Hope. Arnold has also worked on The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Countdown, and Clover.

Most recently, she stars as Tina Butler in the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood, alongside Cedric the Entertainer and Max Greenfield. And with two projects in post-production, Arnold remains a much sought-after actor in the years since Everybody Hates Chris.

7 Terry Crews

Terry Crews has many sides to his personality and because of this, he has taken on a variety of projects since starring as the frugal father Julius on Everybody Hates Chris.

From 2013 to 2021, the former NFL player starred as Terry Jeffords on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. He was the energetic host of America’s Got Talent for four seasons, and he is now the host of America’s Got Talent: All-Stars.

More recently, Crews has starred in Craig of the Creek and has two projects in post-production.

Over the years, Crews has also been open about his pornography addiction and how it almost ended his marriage, and being a victim of sexual assault.

6 Imani Hakim

Imani Hakim played Chris’ annoying younger sister Tonya. Since then, she has played Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas in the TV movie The Gabby Douglas Story. She has also starred in Some Kind of Hate, Burning Sands, Sollers Point, and Dinner Party.

Since 2020, she has played a video game tester named Dana in the Apple TV+ comedy series Mythic Quest, alongside Rob McElhenney and F. Murray Abraham. And while working on the show, Hakim has not only appeared in the film, A Southern Haunting but had a guest appearance on the series, Will Trent as well.

5 Tequan Richmond

Tequan Richmond played Imani’s second onscreen older brother Drew on Everyone Hates Chris. Tequan has since guest-starred in several TV series, including Weeds, Private Practice, Memphis Beat, and Mr. Box Office.

He scored the role of Bryson Broyer in Lena Waithe’s BET series Boomerang. Unfortunately, the show only lasted for two seasons.

In 2020, he played the lead opposite Raven Symone Ferrell in the TV movie Blood on Her Badge. Since that time, however, it appears that Richmond has taken a step away from being in the limelight as he has no credits to his name after 2020.

4 Vincent Martella

Since playing Chris’ best friend Greg Wuliger on Everybody Hates Chris, Vincent Martella has found a lot of success as a voice actor.

From 2007 to 2015, Martella voiced Phineas Flynn on the hit Disney cartoon Phineas and Ferb and its several related projects. He has also voiced characters in Milo Murphy’s Law and Camp WWE.

Additionally, he starred in the movie McFarland, USA, and the series The Walking Dead and New Amsterdam.

Martella also has three projects in various stages of production. As such, once the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strike comes to an end, Martella will be seen and heard as a voice actor in new material on the small screen.

3 Jacqueline Mazarella

Jacqueline Mazarella played Chris’ often racially insensitive teacher Ms. Morello for all four seasons of Everybody Hates Chris. She has since starred in the movies Our Family Wedding, The Roommate, and Jersey Boys.

Mazarella has also played Jackie in the Are We There Yet? sitcom and guest starred in Fresh Off the Boat, Jane the Virgin, and The Morning Show. In 2014, she began creating and starring in the miniseries The Oversharer.

The last acting credit Mazarella has is 2021's Paradise Cove. However, she is one of the actors showing support for the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strike by walking the picket line with her peers recently to help everyone make a fair wage.

2 Kevontay Jackson

Kevontay Jackson starred as the neighborhood thief Jerome. He has since guest-starred in several series, including Mad Men, Hart of Dixie, Animal Kingdom, Spook Hunters, Dear White People, and Bald.

Jackson has also starred in the movies Whitney and Perfectly Single. He is active on his Instagram, often posting life updates and promoting his various projects.

1 Chris Rock

Chris Rock hilariously narrated the entire series and even starred as a guidance counselor in the first episode of Season Three. He has continued to have a successful career in both acting and comedy, though his net worth has taken a hit over the years as a result of his divorces and outlandish spending.

Rock played Kurt McKenzie in the Grown Ups franchise and Marty in the Madagascar franchise. More recently, he starred Milton King in Amsterdam, alongside Margot Robbie and Christian Bale.

In March 2023, Rock had a stand-up special, Selective Outrage premiere live on Netflix. And with four projects in various stages of production, Rock is going nowhere soon on both the big and small screens.
