Nickelodeon is a great start for up-and-coming talent. Not unlike Disney, Nickelodeon offers stars the opportunity to grow their skills in front of young international audiences who lap up the kind of storytelling they do. While Nickelodeon is, in no way, as popular as it once was, there are still many stars who started on Nickelodeon from a number of the best Nickelodeon shows who have gone on to do big things. Of course, Ariana Grande is probably the biggest name to come from the Nickelodeon Channel, but there are other names who one day might be as popular as she is... One being the gorgeous Lizzy Greene.

While Lizzy Greene started off as a Nickelodeon girl playing Dawn Harper on Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, she is probably best known for her role as Sophie Dixon on the ABC family drama A Million Little Things.

But who exactly is this up-and-coming star?

Lizzy Is A Young Woman Of Many Hidden Talents

Lizzy Greene (born Elizabeth Anne Greene) was raised in Dallas, Texas where she had dreams of becoming an actor.

During an interview with Total Girl.au, Lizzy explained how exactly she became interested in acting:

"I fell into theatre at 8 years old and realized I loved being in front of an audience and making people laugh. I had an incredible director who taught me how to work hard and realize the benefits. I knew very early I wanted to be an actor."

Although if she wasn't an actor, Lizzy would've become a singer, so she told Seventeen...

"Singing is where I really started out: I did the talent show at my public school every year and it was just the best — so fun! And I would love to start a clothing line or become a fashion designer. You can express yourself through style, which is so cool."

At a very young age, she was spotted by creatives at Nickelodeon and given a shot in an episode of one of their shows called The Thundermans.

She made such an impression on that show that she was soon given her own, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn, where she played the only girl of quadruplets. While Lizzy shot a couple of other shows while on the Nickelodeon show, such as Knight Squad and Tiny Christmas, Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn took up the better part of four years. In fact, Lizzy was employed by Nickelodeon from 2014 to 2018.

During an interview with Total Girl.au, Lizzy explained why exactly she was attracted to the role of Dawn Harper on the Nickelodeon show... beyond the paycheck and learning opportunity, that is.

"We are both inpatient and like for things to happen quick! I would say we are both fearless, care about siblings, and are always looking to have fun and be with friends and family."

As soon as she finished that series, she earned a lead role on the ABC show A Million Little Things.

On top of continuing to be on the Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada-shot ABC show, Lizzy has also been branching out in print ads and modeling. Additionally, she has been continuing her love of art. During an interview with Schön! Magazine, while promoting A Million Little Things, Lizzy explained that she has been painting since she was a kid.

"It’s something I’ve done since I was old enough to talk, and to me, it’s become a mindless thing that helps spark creative thinking. I’ve loved art my whole life, and while acting has definitely taken a front seat, it’s still something that I try to do every day. Whether it be in the green room, or during lunch, or at 3 am, art influences me to create, challenge myself and learn — all of which help me in my work as well."

Lizzy says she constantly collects photos that inspire her to paint and draw. Usually, these are every-day images that would be mundane to some but beautiful and inspirational to her. The process of drawing helps her de-stress, which has been vital for her during COVID as well as filming A Million Little Things.

Lizzy Was Attracted To A Million Little Things Because Of Her Character's Strength

There are many things that attracted Lizzy Greene to A Million Little Things, but Sophie Dixon's strength was what got her...

"I was attracted to the role both because of its depth and the strength Sophie has," Lizzy explained in her interview with Schön! Magazine. "She has been through so much yet continues to do what’s right; she’s as human as she is a teenager, so there are moments where she is stubborn and headstrong (which I can relate to myself) which is also why I like her. She’s no damsel."

It doesn't appear as though Lizzy Greene is a damsel either. While this ABC show will take up most of her time in the year to come, she has made it clear that she wants to do film. Given her career trajectory so far, we wouldn't be surprised if she made that leap sooner than later.
