Big things are happening for the actress whose breakout role was as Karen in Mean Girls! Yes, we're talking about the talented Amanda Seyfried who has numerous iconic roles to her name.

An actress with thick skin, the Mamma Mia! Netflix star is now up for an Oscar nomination for her role in the black-and-white drama, Mank. Her career is finally receiving the recognition it deserves, but who is the man that Seyfried leans on for support? Who's the man she goes home to after a day on set? Let's give a warm welcome to Thomas Sadoski, her beau, and husband.

Amid all the awards buzz, the Hollywood star remains quite private about her personal life, but there are some things we can share about the duo - especially since her other half is also a familiar face.

Here's everything you need to know.

10 The Lovebirds Were Costars

What happens when you meet the potential love of your life but you're already in a committed relationship with another? That's what happened to both actors.

Back in 2015, the blue-eyed actress and Sadoski both got offered roles in the off-Broadway production, The Way We Get By.

You may recall that the best-supporting-actress contender was once in a relationship with Justin Long - and that's exactly when she ran into the now-love of her life. According to Us Weekly, the man she fell head over heels for in time, was married to Kimberly Hope when they had initially met in the workplace.

9 ...And Were Again

They were inclined to be together, and it was definitely destiny, because a year later, in 2016, they starred together in the film, The Last Word. Although Seyfried, who has had a two-decade career was involved with two famous men previously, it was clear to her that Sadoski was the one.

According to Us Weekly, although there was a clear attraction to one another, their relationship was strictly platonic - until they met again in 2016, that is. In March 2016, Us Weekly confirmed that the pair finally went for it, and made their relationship official.

8 They Saved Each Other

We don't know what goes on behind closed doors, right? What we didn't know about both Seyfried's and Sadoski's previous relationships, the ones they were in when the now-married couple met, was that they were unhealthy.

When the two had met, Sadoski, a stand-up guy, had been with his ex-wife for eight years. However, in an interview with PorterEdit, Seyfried spoke of their past romantic involvements and said, "We were both in bad relationships."

7 A Freeing Relationship

Seyfried also admitted that while the pair worked on the play together (she still was romantically involved with her two-year boyfriend Justin Long at the time) it was her now-beau that helped calm her down during an intense period of anxiety attacks.

She often speaks of how being with the man of her life has been the most freeing experience for her.

6 A Serene Life

If you follow either Seyfried, Sadoski, or both on Instagram, you may have noticed that they share numerous picturesque photos of a quaint farm - and farm animals - on their respective feeds.

It's all thanks to the darling actress that she and her significant other spend their days, all year long, on a farm. Roughly seven years ago, according to Gossip Cop, Seyfried was scrolling through upstate New York when her present home stole her heart. For both, living on a farm, away from the bustling city life, is healthy and freeing.

5 The Attraction Was Instant

The actress, who has earned her first Oscar nod, has opened up about the importance of attraction in a relationship. Before the two were even an item, Seyfried publicly spoke to ELLE about the man she was giddy over - yes, her beau was once just a man who gave her butterflies.

First costars, Seyfried admitted the sparks were instant when she first laid eyes on him, as she said, "[He's] someone separate from my industry life—I've known him since he was 16… I picture him as the father of my children all the time. But it is a fantasy right now."

And now, he's her Prince Charming!

4 They Got Hitched Quickly

When you know, you know, they say!

Within the two years that they met, the wedded couple went from just having met one another to having their first child. Yes, the pair wasted no time.

Quickly after making their romance official in 2016, they got engaged, and by 2017, they had already tied the knot. Talk about making moves! Seyfried, who's quite a big deal, married the longtime TV and film actor while she was nine months pregnant with their first child. In an interview with PorterEdit, the actress, whose stated that she wanted to make sure she was married before she had her daughter.

3 Their Little Family

In a recent interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the brilliant actress spoke (and joked) about a third installment of the ABBA-filled musical. On the episode, the actress, who is quite the comic, joked about how she'd be willing to take on another Mamma Mia! alongside Meryl Streep, but not make their family a family of five.

The couple share two young - and adorable - children together. Back in 2017, shortly after the two got together, the couple welcomed to the world their first child together, a daughter named Nina. And then, in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, the loving couple welcomed their baby boy, Thomas Jr., in September of 2020.

The children do make rare cameos on social media, but we know that's only because the famous couple rather keep things on the down-low.

2 Their Bond Is Tight

Although both are celebrities, the lovebirds are humble and grounded. Unlike many A-listers, the two don't lead the typical limelight life. The couple and their tiny bundles of joy share a home with farm animals, and a nanny, aka Seyfried's mother.

In an interview with Us Magazine, Seyfried openly discussed how their marriage is alive and strong because of the rural life they brave. While it's been trying times for everyone across the globe during this pandemic, the Mamma Mia! alum feels incredibly lucky. “Our family is still together,” Seyfried said. “I definitely think my marriage is, like, even stronger.”

1 What's Important To Them?

The Hollywood couple aren't just stars, they are also both humanitarians. For years, the passionate A-listers have raised awareness and funds for the INARA organization, and now, they're both board members.

Sadoski, who engages in philanthropy and uses his social media to raise awareness for important issues, also uses it to show how he loves being a dad. Seyfried is only two steps behind her beau and does the same.
