Anne Hathaway is easily one of the greatest actors of our time! The star first came to prominence back in 2001 when she was cast as Mia Thermopolis in the hit Disney film, The Princess Diaries, in which she appeared alongside the great, Dame Julie Andrews.

Following her success as an on-screen princess, Anne quickly made a name for herself, landing roles in Bride Wars, The Devil Wears Prada, and Ocean's 8, to name a few. Despite her career doing wonders, Anne became a laughing stock when she and James Franco hosted the Academy Awards, deeming the two as the worst hosts ever!

While that couldn't have been a fun time for Hathaway, she had a great support system to push her through. Luckily for the actress, her husband, Adam Shulman, has been by her side since their nuptials in 2012. Although we know details regarding their time as a couple, fans are curious to know more about who Shulman really is.

Anne And Adam Have Been Married For Nearly A Decade

When it comes to Hollywood royalty, Anne Hathaway has certainly earned herself a rightful spot on the leaderboard. The actress has been delivering some of the best performances since her on-screen debut back in Disney's The Princess Diaries. Scoring a film alongside Julie Andrews is a feat in and of itself, however, for Anne, it was her very first movie role, making it all that much more special.

In addition to the success she has achieved in her professional life, Anne Hathaway has also scored big time when it comes to her love life. The actress has been married to Adam Shulman since 2012, and the couple is set to celebrate their 10 year anniversary next year! Their love story first began back in 2008 when they met through mutual friends at the Palm Springs Film Festival.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Anne Hathaway revealed that she knew Adam was the one from the moment she set her sights on him. "I'm going to marry that man!" she told the publication back in 2014. "I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life," and alas, he was!

In November 2011, Shulman popped the question with a stunning 6-carat diamond ring. The engagement party took place in New York City, and the two officially tied the knot in September 2012 at a private home in Big Sur, California. A total of 150 guests were in attendance, all of whom were able to witness Anne's stunning Valentino wedding dress in person.

The couple welcomed their first child together, Jonathan in 2016, and another, Jack, in 2019. Although they have been quite open about their romance, many fans still wonder to this day just what Adam Shulman does for a living, and well, he's also in the biz!

Adam Is Also In The Entertainment Business

Much like Anne, Adam is also an actor! While the star hasn't appeared in big blockbuster films the way Hathaway has, he's still got an impressive acting resume. Adam has appeared in shows such as American Dreams, Ricki And The Flash, and The West Wing, to name a few. One of his most recognized roles was in the television film, Dukes Of Hazzard: The Beginning, all while taking on some behind-the-camera roles, too.

Adam teamed up with Jonathan Demme to produce Song One in 2014, in which Anne Hathaway actually appeared as the lead. Shulman also joined his wife in the hit film, The Witches, where he took on the role of an evil character. While their time working together must have been fun, the film itself received a lot of backlash, leading Anne to publicly apologize for any of the "pain caused" to disabled people.

He's Also A Jewelry Designer

As if acting, and producing weren't enough, Adam Shulman upped the ante and also added in jewelry designer to his long list of talents. The star makes quite a living as a jewelry designer too, in fact, he owns his very own company called James Banks Designs, which he actually co-owns with his business partner, Heidi Nahser Fink.

According to the company website, Shulman and Fink work to create pieces that are unique, and they do so through "old-world techniques using such tools as hammers and stakes for forming, saws for piercing, rolling mill and drawplates for baking sheet and wire, and propane/oxygen torch for soldering," making it clear they aren't playing around!

Not only is Adam successful when it comes to his many clients, but he's also had massive success in creating custom pieces for films. Shulman spoke about his work crafting pieces for Alice Through The Looking Glass, all while using his expertise to even custom-make Anne Hathaway's engagement ring!
