An Acting Career For The Ages

Acting consistently since the early-‘80s, aside from starring in a blockbuster movie John Stamos has done it all in that industry. First introduced to many of his most loyal fans when he appeared in 25 episodes of General Hospital from 1982 to 1984, he was never given a starring role in that series but he made his mark. In fact, he was popular enough on that show that he was nominated for a Supporting Actor in Drama Series Emmy in 1983.

Finally able to land the role that would be his big break in the late-‘80s, there is no way that John Stamos could have known what it would mean when he was cast as Full House’s Uncle Jessie. Going on to play that beloved character over 8 seasons, it could easily be argued that Stamos was the show’s most popular adult actor by a longshot.

Going on to star in a slew of TV shows in the years since Full House ended, John Stamos quickly became a mainstay of the medium. For example, at one time or another Stamos landed notable roles in shows like ER, Jake in Progress, Grandfathered, Scream Queens, and You. On top of all those roles, Stamos played a pivotal role in the creation of Fuller House, executive produced the series and played Uncle Jessie again in 17 episodes.
