The first time we heard anything about Jude Law's daughter, Iris Law, she was biting into an ecstasy pill she found on the floor at a children's birthday party at the age of two.

She's come a long way since that incident, which made her mother rush her to the hospital to get her stomach pumped. Now she's making headlines for her successful modeling career, while her father is making headlines yet again for his relationships and his sixth newborn child. How times change.

While her father changes diapers, tends to his garden, and waits to continue playing Albus Dumbledore, Iris is becoming one of the most famous young models ever, just like her brother Rafferty, and kicking off her career as a fashion and jewelry designer.

Here's what Iris Law is all about.

Iris Has Become A Successful Model

Iris is Law's second child with Sadie Frost, born in 2000. Her parents were very much a part of the Primrose Hill set, the promiscuous group of celebrities based in the London area in the '90s, and counted Noel Gallagher, Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, and Kate Moss amongst their friends. Moss is her godmother and became a very important person in her life.

Iris probably had a lot of questions for Aunty Kate when she started thinking about going into modeling in her early teens.

"Since I was little, I’ve always loved fashion, so it came quite naturally for me to get closer to the Fashion world," she told InStyle. Her parents supported her in her early career and still do, and they always give her advice.

"They’ve told me to be friendly to everyone, to remember my manners, to be myself, to not be too nervous," she told Grazia. "It’s really fun to talk to them about all of this because they are the most solid people to discuss it with. They’re always just as excited as I am."

She got her first ad campaign for Britain's Illustrated People at the age of 15, and shortly after she starred in a Miu Miu campaign and on the cover of Teen Vogue.

A year later she became the new face of Burberry Beauty's Liquid Lip Velvet Collection. At the time she said she loved the colors and that "Burberry is such an iconic British brand and it’s an honor to be part of the family."

More recently, she's starred in FENDI's campaign for the Peekaboo bag. "I think that the Peekaboo is for someone with a versatile sense of style. It’s useful to have a bag, which can be worn according to the various vibes of the outfits I wear day today," she told Tatler.

This past November she made headlines for posting a picture of herself posing in her garden wearing a one-piece bathing suit from Stella McCartney's new line of sustainable swimwear. Part of Stella McCartney’s 'AtoZ manifesto', Iris represented the series 'I' for intimacy.

"Thank you @stellamccartney for giving me the opportunity to interpret intimacy :) 💓💧💓This photo represents intimacy in so many ways for me," she wrote on her Instagram. "An image taken by @jyrrel near sunrise freeeezing cold❄️, my bare feet on the grass and the intimate connection with the earth through the sustainable background of the bodice My #StellaAtoZ #iforintimacy :) the second image is the artwork from the manifesto for the letter I, done by Urs Fischer #ad."

Most recently, she's signed on with international modeling agency IMG Models and made her Paris Fashion Week debut in March 2020, walking for Miu Miu AW20. She also signed on to Dior's team as a Beauty Ambassador.

Iris Law Has Made The Most Of Lockdown And Hopes To Start A New Career Soon

When quarantine happened she was supposed to start her gap year and travel to Japan for two weeks. Instead, she spent lockdown with her family and made the most of her time by raising money for frontline workers and making a virtual cookbook with the proceeds going to the charity Meals for the NHS. She's also perfected her self-care routine.

"Normally, I’m used to checking my phone, replying to emails, and Instagram, but I’ve been using that time to do things for myself and extending my self-care routine. I’m enjoying cooking with my boyfriend and making our space a sacred place, taking care of our plants," she told British Vogue.

"Finding recipes I can share with people is what I really enjoy … At the height [of the UK’s first Covid-19 wave] in May, I wanted to help the NHS in any way possible. I tend to write recipes down as I go, so I thought it would be cool to turn my makeshift recipes into a cookbook to help raise money for the NHS."

Cooking and gardening aren't her only interests. She liked oil painting as a teenager and has become interested in textile, design, and photography. "I want to make things and be creative," she said in a video for Fendi Peekaboo.

In 2018 she told The Evening Standard she wanted to start a career in fashion and jewelry design. She's already begun to design as well. This past summer, she designed her own bathing suit, and everyone on her social media loved her creation.

She's just starting to dabble in acting as well. She's set to appear in Danny Boyle's Sex Pistols film. Among her many talents and multiple career verticals, she just wants to be a positive role model, more than anything else.

"I hope to be a positive role model to women. Being a woman is such a beautiful thing and embracing and allowing yourself to feel sexy is also an important part of that," she told L'OFFICIEL.

One thing's for sure, Iris' got a lot of potentials, not only in the modeling world but the creative world as well. And she's only 20! Best keep our eyes on this one.
