To say that a lot has gone on in Kaley Cuoco’s life since The Big Bang Theory ended its run in 2019 is quite an understatement. Soon after the sitcom ended, she went on to produce her own Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated series, The Flight Attendant. Not only that, but the show also led to the actress’ first Emmy nomination too (she also scored an Emmy nod at the 2022 Emmys).

Meanwhile, Cuoco also moved in with then-husband Karl Cook in 2019, but the couple soon called it quits in 2021 (with fans suspecting that it was due to Cuoco’s Meet Cute co-star Pete Davidson initially). Since then, the actress has found love again with Ozark star Tom Pelphrey. And for Cuoco, her new romance almost feels like a new beginning too.

Since Dating Tom Pelphrey, Kaley Cuoco Says Her Life Is ‘Just Starting’

Unlike other Hollywood couples, Cuoco and Pelphrey didn’t meet on set. Instead, they met through a mutual acquaintance. “We have the same manager (Andrea Pett-Joseph), and we were set up by (her), which is so Hollywood,” the actress revealed. “She's like, ‘Oh my God, I think you guys are perfect for each other.’”

Much like in the movies, sparks flew between the two stars almost instantly. “We met at the Ozark premiere (in April), and I was standing with Andrea and Tom walked in, and I heard his voice, and I turned around, and it was like my life was over, or just starting,” Cuoco recalled. “It hit me. It was love at first sight. We were immediately connected.”

Looking back though, the actress also feels strongly that she and Pelphrey wouldn’t have clicked if they had met sooner. “I talk about this a lot with Tom, who's totally changed me. I don't even look at him and say, ‘Where have you been all my life? Why didn't I meet you sooner?’” Cuoco explained.

“I don't wish that, and he doesn't either because I had to go through a lot of (stuff) and really look at myself in the mirror and the things that I have (messed up) over my past 10 years that I haven't dealt with.”

At the same time, it also seems that playing troubled Cassie Bowden on The Flight Attendant gave the actress a newfound perspective on life and love.

Kaley's Recent Role Taught Her To Confront Problems

“It's weird. Shooting this show, alongside a character who's literally trying to run away from her problems and push things under the rug and be Little Miss Perfect and not admit to the issues that we have, I realized I just never faced things,” Cuoco admitted.

“I realized I was doing things so wrong. I'm so career-oriented that a lot of things fell to the back.” The actress later added, “I'm ready to settle for a minute and find my place as a human in a normal life.”

With Cuoco determined to balance her work and her relationships better, she’s also committed to taking a break whenever she can (“I’ve never really taken a vacation,” she confessed) to support her new beau.

“I want to come home after that and take the rest of the year off and support Tom and what he's shooting and actually be there for someone else, not just myself,” the actress declared.

Kaley Cuoco And Tom Pelphrey Recently Celebrated Their Emmy Nominations Together

Things are certainly looking up for this new Hollywood couple, with Cuoco getting her second Emmy nomination for The Flight Attendant and Pelphrey getting his first Primetime Emmy nod for Ozark. Pelphrey recently shared a video of the moment that Cuoco learned about her latest nomination. “Yes, baby!” Pelphrey exclaimed as he hugged a crying Cuoco. The actor also wrote, “ALSO… CONGRATULATIONS TO MY FAVORITE ACTRESS!!! Such beautiful, brave work. Beyond grateful to share this with you today…” Meanwhile, Cuoco also posted a message on Instagram, expressing how grateful she is for another Emmy nod. The actress also added, “And to share this moment with my ♥️ @tommypelphrey with his own deserved nomination… what a moment and we are so grateful...”

Today, things are certainly going well for Cuoco and Pelphrey, with Cuoco even saying that they are “ready to build a life together”. That said, it still doesn’t seem that Cuoco would consider tying the knot once more. “I will never get married again. I would love to have a long-lasting relationship or a partnership,” she once said in a recent interview.

“But I will never get married again. Absolutely not.” That said, she’s also not the type of person who gives up on love. “There are great people that come into your life, and they leave your life. And there are reasons for all of it. The minute that I agree to let it go, someone else magical comes into my life,” the actress continued. “I love love.”
