Kel Mitchell came into the lives of many millennials in the early to mid-1990s thanks to Nickelodeon's All That and the series Kenan & Kel. Kel's career took off even further with staring roles in the film Good Burger, as well as being featured in popular Nickelodeon television shows like Sam & Cat and Liv & Maddie.

Mitchell met his now ex-wife Tyisha Hampton in 1996 at a party that was catered towards actors who were trying to find their way in Hollywood. The two immediately gravitated toward each other and started dating shortly thereafter.

Mitchell and Hampton married each other in 1999 and had their son, Lyric Mitchell, that same year, and eventually had their second child, Allure, in 2002. The pair would eventually file for divorce in 2005 and although little is known about the reason why the divorce happened, fans speculate that it is possibly due to Kel cheating on Tyisha.

Tyisha Hampton quietly backed out of the spotlight following the divorce. She starred in one film in 2008 and not much was heard from her until she started making some interesting accusations about her now ex-husband, Kel Mitchell.

Tyisha Hampton ASays She Will No Longer Be A Victim

Tyisha Hampton called Kel out on social media where she initially alleged that Mitchell is a deadbeat father, accusing him of owing her money for tax debts and unpaid child support totaling $1.2 million and spending up to 10 years without seeing his children.

Hampton posted to her social media fan base "I'm no longer going to be a victim. I'm collecting everything I'm owed. If you are a fan of his, let him know #payyourex. You can't be a man of God and not take care of your past responsibilities! You cannot continue being a hypocrite!"

Tyisha Hampton further accuses Kel Mitchell of neglecting both of their children, Allure and Lyric, and that he has tax debts that led to her being incarcerated.

The actress said she is "spilling it all" and that fans need to "Make [Kel Mitchell] accountable."

Additional hashtags on her post include things like #deadbeatdad and #deadbeatcelebrity, with the actress pointing out that Mitchell purchased an $800,000 home but did not make an effort to pay off the child support debt he owes.

It is worth noting that, while Kel Mitchell's acting career has taken a back seat to other projects he has chosen to work on, the former actor turned pastor does still have a decent net worth of around $3 million.

Kel Mitchell Has Also Been Accused Of Cheating By Tyisha Hampton

Adding additional insult to injury, Tyisha Hampton took things one step further by accusing Kel Mitchell of cheating on her, something that some fans were already suspicious of because of how quietly the pair got divorced.

Although, the accusation was against Kel and another woman, but Kel and Nick Cannon, another very successful and well-known Nickelodeon alumni with an interesting dating history of his own.

Hampton took to TikTok to make the bombshell accusation, saying she went home early to find Nick Cannon wearing one of her cheerleading uniforms and performing cheers in an attempt to cheer up Kel.

While Mitchell did not respond to these allegations, Nick Cannon took the time to post in Hamptons comment section about the incident, jokingly replying "Yep!! Probably had the Big ear of corn, a bunch of orange soda and a couple of kids choice awards up our a** too!"

Kel Mitchell Denies The Allegations

Kel Mitchell hasn't stayed quiet throughout all the accusations his ex-wife has been throwing at him. The star has let it be known that he is tired of Hampton's public accusations, even indicating that he wants a judge to step in.

Mitchell took matters into his own hands with a court filing where he would explain that "Tyisha has done everything in her power to drag me through her path of destruction" and continued to explain that the divorce was incredibly hard on him.

According to Radar Online, Kel Mitchell revealed that he was forced to file for bankruptcy following the divorce which "forced [him] to start over" and get his life together. He continued to say that he took that time to focus on his career and relationships at the time.

Mitchell also defends himself as a father, saying that he has always paid out what he was required to pay in support, and then some, going so far as to purchase cars for them when they went to college while also covering their tuition.

While the children the pair share are now adults, Kel says he tried to keep them out of the litigation process as best as he could.

He has also denied the allegations that he was absent from his older children's lives and continues to actively post them and his two little ones from his most recent marriage all over his Instagram page.
