Given the popularity of the tabloid industry, these days people tend to know an awful lot about the world’s biggest stars. For example, when it comes to folks like Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, Denzel Washington, and Tom Hanks, they are the furthest things possible from mysterious figures. On the other hand, when an actor’s career is still taking off due to a role in a single hit project, there are still a lot of lesser-known facts about them out there.

Even though Mayans M.C. was spun off from Sons of Anarchy, a show that has an incredibly devoted fanbase that wants to know everything they can about it, it is still a relatively young series. As a result, a lot of Mayans M.C. and Sons of Anarchy fans still don’t know all that much about the series’ main star, J. D. Pardo.

Discovering His Passion

In an effort to introduce their viewers to the star of their show Mayans M.C., FX posted a J.D. Pardo profile on their website, fxnetworks.com. While talking to one of the website’s writers about his childhood, Pardo talked about how movies helped him to escape.

“My parents were having some problems. My dad was a cop for over 30 years and a Marine for 30 years. They were having some problems and my mother used to take my sisters and I to the video store.” “I would rent like Karate Kid or Star Wars or something like that.” “So that influenced me a lot because I was so fascinated with the world and I just wanted to be a part of it.”

After becoming fascinated with movies, Pardo turned to acting during a time of great turbulence in his life. “Then all of a sudden, my parents divorced and my dad left when I was 13, and so it was just myself and my two sisters and my mom. I was so heartbroken. And I was just starting to try and figure out what it's like to be a man, so I felt very alone and very angry. Then I got into a theater class when I was in tenth grade, and it gave me a place to express myself and I could be anything on that stage. I just wanted to be anything that wasn't me. I fell in love with it and I was like, ‘I have to do this. I have to do this because I'm not going to survive. I'm just not going to make it.’ And it saved me. It really did.”

Becoming A Star

After discovering acting in his teens, J. D. Pardo began to find consistent television work during the early-2000s. After making his television debut in a show called Titans, Pardo appeared in My Wife and Kids before landing his first recurring role in a show called American Dreams. In the years since Pardo made his first TV breakthrough, he made appearances in a long list of memorable shows including Veronica Mars, The O.C., 90210, CSI: Miami, and CSI: NY.

In addition to all of the TV shows that J.D. Pardo has made his mark on, he is no stranger to the movie world. In fact, Pardo has shown up in films like A Cinderella Story, Havoc, and Snitch. When it comes to Pardo’s movie work, his most notable role has to be the one he played in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

When Sons of Anarchy came to an end, many of the show’s fans were left unsatisfied with how things ended for their favorite characters. For that reason, many of them were likely overjoyed to learn that series was set to get a spin-off. While Mayans M.C. doesn’t focus on the same characters from SOA, it was exciting to learn that fans would be able to go back to that world. Of course, the spin-off show easily could have failed with audiences. Thankfully for everyone involved, the series boasts an incredible cast including J. D. Pardo in the main role.

Cashing In

For the media to estimate how much money an actor is worth with a high degree of accuracy, a lot has to be known about the person’s career and how well they get paid for their work. As a result of the fact that J.D. Pardo is still amassing the kind of fan base that is large enough for every aspect of their life to be examined, some of that information is still sparse.

As of the time of this writing, two main estimates of J.D. Pardo’s net worth are out there and the figures are pretty different. First off, according to an articlebio.com article that is over a year old, Pardo makes roughly $53,000 a year and is worth $2 million. On the other hand, wealthyleo.com lists Pardo’s net worth as being $4.2 million. Since those two figures are pretty different, the best way to think of those estimates is to see them as providing a range in which Pardo’s net worth likely lies.
