Austin and Catherine McBroom, along with their three children, Steel, Elle, and Alaa, comprise the ACE Family – YouTube's hilarious family of pranksters.

In 2016, the couple created their amusing YouTube channel, where they vlogged, pranked each other, and completed challenges. They then turned to parenting videos after welcoming their three children, but this only helped to propel them further into internet celebrities. The ACE Family is now one of the most successful YouTube channels in history.

Elle McBroom, the McBrooms' first child, was born in May 2016. In October 2018, they had their second daughter, Alaia. Steel, their third child, was born in June 2020. All three children can be seen in The ACE Family's YouTube videos on a regular basis.

Before meeting Catherine, Austin McBroom was a former NCAA basketball star who had played for Sanit Louis, Central Michigan, and Eastern Washington Universities. Catherine, on the other hand, worked as a model. She had worked with brands like Azzelia Swimwear and Victoria’s Secret. And she knew she wanted to be an influencer in some form since she was little.

Speaking about the unexpected success of The ACE Family YouTube channel, she said: “I never thought I’d be where I am today in general. I did, however, know that eventually in my life, I would be doing something involving speaking like, on camera, having an influence. I always knew that my entire life, but I never knew how it would come.”

The ACE Family channel has become incredibly popular in a relatively short period of time. It hit the 1 million subscriber mark in 2017 – the same year the pair got engaged – and was up to 14 million subscribers by December 2018. As of now, it has a total of almost 19 million subscribers on YouTube, making them one of the most subscribed channels on the popular video-sharing platform.

Why Is The Ace Family Famous?

The ACE family's obvious goal is to appear as picture-perfect as possible. Millions of subscribers and admirers across the world regard the couple and their children as #familygoals, so it's doubly upsetting to hear that Austin and Catherine's relationship is a sham (and that Austin has sexually assaulted a friend). How did they get so many millions of subscribers in the first place?

As mentioned above, Austin and his wife Catherine didn’t come from anywhere. They already made a name for themselves as Austin became a basketball star while Catherine modeled for popular brands. After meeting together and becoming a couple, they started vlogging, which has helped them gain massive fans.

Both Austin and Catherine had a decent social media following, so it made sense that the two of them combined could lead to bigger fandom. So, what made the ACE family so successful? The channel surely isn’t the only family that vlogged their daily lives on YouTube, but they’re one of the few content creators that took it to the next, Kardashian level.

They consistently shared videos, created social media accounts of every single platform, created ACE family merch, memes, and cultivated brand partnerships and other YouTube collaborations.

Simply put, they had a good business strategy. Many of their followers described the ACE family’s videos as “real” and “relatable.” The couple is also lauded for donating to charity (although there has been some controversy around that as well).

Despite the occasional issue, the ACE Family's prominent YouTube channel continues to earn a lot of money and subscribers. The channel receives an average of 850,000 views a day, and “this should generate an estimated revenue of around $7,000 per day ($2.5 million a year) from the ads that run on the videos.”

This is without counting sponsorships they do with brands like Seat Geek and The Real Real. They also have other businesses such as Catherine’s skincare line 1212 Gateway, their mech store, and their juice brand Silly Juice. All combined, their estimated net worth is around $20 million.
