The death of Queen Elizabeth II changed the world in so many ways. It affected the day-to-day lives of a whole country and the personal lives of a lot of people who knew and loved the Queen personally. Two of the royal members people have been talking about the most are the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship with the British Royal Family was strained at best, but they seemed to be doing an effort to heal old wounds. One of the things Meghan did was cancel her podcast, Archetypes, to take time to mourn. But was that her decision or was she pushed to do it?

What Is Meghan's Podcast Archetypes?

Meghan Markle's podcast is relatively new, having started just this year, so it's only natural that some people don't know what it's about.

Simply put, her podcast Archetypes is about having important, though sometimes uncomfortable, conversations. She described it as talks "to uncover the origin of these stereotypes and have uncensored conversations with women who know all too well how these typecasts shape narratives."

According to the Duchess, "the podcast where we dissect, explore, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back. I’ll have conversations with women who know all too well how these typecasts shape our narratives. And, I’ll talk to historians to understand how we even got here in the first place. I'm going to sit down with some of the smartest funniest strongest most passionate women and people I know— and some that I've never met before."

That last part has been particularly true. So far, she has had meaningful and fascinating conversations with Serena Williams, Mariah Carey, and Mindy Kaling.

After those names, the expectations for the new episodes are very high.

Prince Harry And Meghan Put Their Differences With The Royal Family Aside

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not on the best terms with the rest of the Royal Family when Queen Elizabeth II passed away, so people wondered whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would appear publicly them.

The biggest rift between the royals happened when the Duke and Duchess did an interview with Oprah where the actress shared the unpleasant experiences she had been through before Harry renounced his position, and they left the UK.

"In those months when I was pregnant, all around the same time, so we have in tandem the conversation of, he won't be given security, he's not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born," Meghan famously shared, which rightfully caused a big scandal.

However, in this time of grief, it seems Prince William decided to extend an olive branch, and Harry and Meghan accepted.

They were seen with William and Princess Kate greeting mourners in the streets of England, paying respect to the late monarch. This does not mean all is forgotten, a source was quick to assure the public.

"While the brothers are keeping it civil and acting like adults as they mourn the queen’s death, they’ve by no means turned the page and made amends. The mood is somber all around."

Still, everyone appears to be doing their part.

Meghan Clarified Why She Paused Her Podcast

Added to the sad news of Queen Elizabeth's passing, admirers of the Duchess of Sussex were also sad to hear they wouldn't be getting any more Archetypes episodes for a while.

A notice saying "New episodes of Archetypes will be paused during the official mourning period for Her Majesty The Queen" appeared on the podcast's Spotify page.
