With absolutely gorgeous Los Angeles homes and personal drama, it makes sense that Netflix's Selling Sunset would become such a popular and talked about reality series.

Season 4 will have new cast members, which is exciting, and everyone wants to know if Christine Quinn gets along with her co-stars.

So many reality TV fans are waiting impatiently for the new season, and it turns out that Chrissy Teigen has had some things to say about it, too, although she hasn't been very positive. Why doesn't Chrissy Teigen like Selling Sunset? Let's take a look.

What Chrissy Teigen Said

Reality television's promise? That everything is real and authentic and viewers see how people live each day. This certainly feels true, as countless shows from the Real Housewives franchise to Southern Charm and Keeping Up With The Kardashians feature the cast members in their own homes.

The, well, reality is that many shows feature a lot of production and editing. It turns out that the Million Dollar Listing cast says Selling Sunset isn't real and Chrissy Teigen has had some opinions about it, too.

It turns out that Chrissy Teigen said she doesn't think Selling Sunset is real, and her words caused quite a stir.

According to Cheat Sheet, she tweeted about it and said, “I just watched all of ‘Selling Sunset’ after watching everyone talk about it for so long! I don’t even think anyone on it is as mean or insane as you guys said? Maybe I’m just so used to it because I live here? This is pretty normal lol some are actually really nice.”

Chrissy Teigen also mentioned not being sure about the cast members being real estate agents: she tweeted, "I will say, I look at LA real estate a lot and have never seen any of these people lol neither have our agents, who I have obsessively asked."

The celeb's tweets also included an opinion about the cast members being "characters" as she said, “Maybe I also know everyone on tv plays up a character. They’re all doing that. You guys are … super mad at people who are in on the joke.”

Real Estate Agents

People know that reality TV has editing, but to say that the real estate agents aren't actually working in that field is definitely tough, and so it makes sense that the cast members wanted to reply to Teigen's statements.

According to Elle, Jason Oppenheim addressed Chrissy Teigen's comments and tweeted, "Chrissy, thanks for watching our show! Regarding your agent's knowledge of members of my team, I respectfully don't know him either although that doesn't mean he isn't successful and didn't just sell you a stunning home in Weho (seriously, I love your new house)."

When Jason told her that, Chrissy Teigen responded that she wasn't sure what agency she had signed up with.

Jason put up screenshots showing that the real estate agents who work for him and also appear on Selling Sunset have real estate licenses from the State of California.

According to Us Weekly, Heather Rae Young explained to Access Hollywood that the agents at the Oppenheim Group are really successful: she said, “We are a boutique agency. But she has seen the show. She obviously has heard of us at this point so, I don’t know where she’s being hiding under a rock. We all are very active real estate agents and we are very, very busy at the moment.”

Maya Vander had a response for Chrissy Teigen: she said, "Oddly enough, I did sell a house on the same street where she and John Legend purchased a house a couple of months ago." She also said, "If she ever wants to buy in Miami I'm here to help!"

The focus of Selling Sunset is definitely split between how the cast members at the real estate office deal with each other and fans have seen their personal lives up close, like when Mary and Romain got married, or Christine had her epic and incredible wedding day. Every episode also features many L.A. properties as the agents do take their jobs seriously.

While Chrissy Teigen might have said some negative things about Selling Sunset, she is a huge fan of the Real Housewives franchise.

According to Buzzfeed, she once tweeted, "I think I've seen every episode of every season of housewives at least 15 times and I am not exaggerating."

When Kim Zolciak from RHOA asked if it would be possible to get some John Legend tickets, Chrissy said yes, and then the cast members actually got into a really big fight on the show about the tweet since it involved some inappropriate content. Chrissy said that she loved watching that scene since it involved her and her husband: "I was just so happy. I was absolutely thrilled."
