Leonardo DiCaprio has one of the most famous faces worldwide. But despite his celebrity, he doesn't often show off the perks of his fame. The man is worth at least $260 million dollars, and yet he doesn't roll around in limousines or flash his cash as much as other celebrities.

Yes, it's true that Leo does live the high life. Private yachts, expensive houses, and private islands are all part of what he spends his cash on. But in his defense, that private island is meant to be an eco-tourism resort that's gonna help save the planet!

Anyway, Leo is like other celebrities in many ways, and then very different in others. Which leads us to why fans think he tends to skip being followed by beefy bodyguards and tries to lie low instead.

While celebrities like Justin Bieber seem to enjoy being flanked by security guards who wear intimidating glares and often, even more intimidating suits, Leonardo DiCaprio has been photographed many a time just walking down the street by himself.

Not to mention that time he tried to go incognito while on vacation abroad with his girlfriend, Camila Morrone. So why does Leo hide inside his sweatshirt rather than enlist the help of a posse to shield him from the paparazzo?

Fans on Quora speculate that it's just the fact that DiCaprio likes to keep a low profile. In fact, one poster razzed Justin Bieber a bit, saying that in one snapshot, where at least four unhappy-looking guys are flanking him, Justin's scarf alone needed some type of security detail.

Another commenter, who's clearly a fan of Leo and not Justin, says the reason why the former doesn't have security on hand 24/7 (or to carry his bags) is "Simple. Some people don't need to show off." Even the way that Leo started his career is pretty darn humble, so it makes sense.

Of course, not every celebrity will agree that having security on hand is 'showing off.' Some famous faces, like Billie Eilish for example, have practically been stalked by well-meaning fans. If that gal doesn't have security, she probably should.

In contrast, Leo's fan base seems a bit chiller. Or maybe it's Leo's attitude toward fame that helps him mostly skate by unnoticed. Perhaps fans are just too intimidated to approach him, so they surreptitiously snap photos from a distance.

His defensive moves are also equal parts hilarious and ingenious. Remember when he walked down the street with his coat over his ears? Or that time he pulled funny faces while on a yacht with Camila, effectively ruining the paparazzi's shot?

Hey, whatever works, Leo! But really, hiring some hunky security guards isn't always a bad move.
