There has been a lot happening for Pete Davidson ever since he joined the cast of Saturday Night Live back in 2014!

Considering Davidson became the youngest cast member to join the series, he was held to quite the high standard, however, it is safe to say he has certainly delivered each and every time.

From his hilarious moments on The Weekend Update alongside co-host, Colin Jost, to his skits portraying Chad or the pool boy, Pete has consistently made viewers laugh over the course of the last 7 years.

During the May 22, 2021 episode of SNL, the night felt a lot more somber than normal, leaving fans to assume that there are some big changes happening at NBC. Changes aren't anything new for Pete, who recently moved out of his and his mom's home, which they purchased last year for $1.3 million in Staten Island.

Pete also had a very public relationship and breakup alongside 'Thank U, Next' singer, Ariana Grande. Although he's able to laugh it off now, Pete has since moved on as the comedian is now being linked to Netflix star, Phoebe Dynevor.

Now, it seems as if Pete's career is shifting too, and viewers think Davidson hinted at leaving the show for good!

With Pete expanding his career with comedy specials and his very own film, The King Of Staten Island, which Judd Apatow directed, it wouldn't be entirely shocking for actors to be parting ways with NBC.

The cold open starred Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson, Kate McKinnon, and Aidy Bryant, which erupted into a pool of emotions, sparking rumors that they were giving an un-official goodbye.

Cecily Strong later sang "My Way" a goodbye tune that sorta confirmed everyone's suspicions, however, Pete Davidson also chimed in on the sad goodbyes by implying, he would also be leaving the show.

During his time on The Weekend Update segment, Pete Davidson thanked the viewers and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity. “I’m very grateful to be here, and it’s been an honor to grow up in front of you guys, so thanks.”

While this isn't exactly a "goodbye I'm leaving" it's pretty clear what was going on. Considering many cast members have been with the series for quite some time, a turnover isn't the wildest thing to occur.
