Selena's Incredible New Photos Have Fans Speculating
Okay, let's just get this out of the way... Selena Gomez's new photos for her swimwear collaboration with La’Mariette’s capsule collection are nothing short of insane. Fans on Twitter almost entirely agree that Selena looks downright HOT!
And while we're about to get into the topic of whether or not Selena has had plastic surgery, it should be stated that there's no shame in it. If it makes her happier in her own skin, then who are we to claim she shouldn't do it or have done it?
According to Page Six, Selena teamed up with her friend, Theresa Mingus, as well as Morgan Brutocao to create the swimwear line. From almost all angles, Selena had her hand in creating the look and style of the swimwear, which almost immediately sold out after she posted the sultry images of herself wearing it.
"After going through swatches, my favorite color was purple. I wanted to stay away from colors I’m used to like red and white," Selena explained of creating the swimwear." Purple felt different for me and we added pops of color like green and neons here and there; it really becomes your own suit however you wear it."
While many of her fans were wondering why her breasts look so enlarged (some claimed they gave off Nicki Minaj vibes) most were wowed by how unbelievable she looked. Additionally, they felt empowered that Selena would show off her body without having washboard abs or the skinniest waist.
Selena's Had Numerous Plastic Surgery Rumors Before
This is not the first time Selena Gomez has been the subject of enhancement rumors. In 2014, E! News reported that fans were speculating that the then-22-year-old star had had her breasts done. This was after photos of her released wearing a low-cut top. However, inside sources told the publication that these were nothing but rumors and there was no legitimacy to them.
In 2018, rumors of Selena having work done resurfaced after she removed her most 'liked' photo from Instagram. The two-photo post portrayed Selena in a shoulderless dress with a drink in hand. Comments on the post, as well as on Twitter afterward, were almost entirely focused on the fact that Selena's breasts looked far larger than what she had been sporting earlier.
The following year, two plastic surgery experts spoke to Life & Style Magazine about the possibility of Selena having had enhancements. Both Dr. Manish Shah, MD, a Denver Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, and Norman M. Rowe, MD, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, claimed that there was a very strong possibility that she received a boob job. Despite neither of them actually treating Selena in the past, they seemed to think that it was almost certain that she had some work done.
They did not, however, think that she had much surgery done to her face, which has also been a major source of discussion among her fans. This is in direct conflict with the majority of fans who believe Selena has received some fillers or minor procedures to her face.
However, the changes in Selena's look can also be attributed to the fact that she has gone through a variety of physical transformations over the years as well as gotten older.
Regardless of whether or not Selena has had fillers done, there's no denying that she looks outrageously beautiful. There's no need to shame someone for having some minor enhancements to their body if that's what makes them feel more comfortable. But it is interesting for her fans to analyze.
