Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo seemed like one of Hollywood’s most solid couples for years. That is, until the façade was shattered by cheating allegations last month. Only a week after Adam and Behati revealed they’re expecting a third child, social media star Sumner Stroh made a TikTok revealing the salacious messages the singer had sent her. The DMs featured comments from Adam obsessing over the influencer’s body. He even acknowledged baby no. 3 is on the way, and said he’d like to name the baby after Sumner. She claims their affair went on for a year and Adam convinced her his marriage was over.
The Maroon 5 frontman has denied having an affair, but admitted to being inappropriate. He issued a public apology to Behati.
"I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner,” Adam explained. “I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life. In certain instances, it became inappropriate."
He added, “My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together."

Since the scandal was exposed, Adam and Behati have presented a united front. They’ve been photographed out together numerous times, and reports say they’re committed to working through Adam’s infidelity.
"He admitted that he went behind her back and has been inappropriate. He admitted that he acted like an idiot. She is still very upset though," a source told PEOPLE, adding that Behati is still "100 percent committed to her family."
"Adam is very understanding about her feelings," they continued. "He is trying his best to make things better. He never wants a divorce."

While it seems clear that Adam and Behati are staying together despite his infidelity, this has caused speculation over why. Reports say that Behati is horrified over the situation. “She had no idea it was coming and is distraught,” one source said. “[The] timing couldn’t be worse.”
