Now, Britney is celebrating her engagement, working on a novel, and talking about kids, leaving many fans to wonder, will she ever return to the stage?

When it was announced back in February 2008 that Britney Spears would officially be put under a conservatorship led by her father, Jamie Spears, fans assumed this was what was best for the 'Everytime' singer at the time. This sentiment quickly came to an end when it became apparent that Britney wasn't being taken care of, but exploited.

Fans began to question if Britney was in such a fragile state, so much that she required a conservator to make decisions for her, then how was she appearing on The X Factor? The End Of Britney's Conservatorship

Earlier this summer, Britney Spears finally spoke directly to a judge regarding the status of her conservatorship and made it clear she wanted out! The #FreeBritney movement gained immense worldwide momentum, putting pressure on the judicial system to do what was right. Britney revealed the atrocities she faced over the course of her conservatorship, which included threats to have her kids taken away, not being able to drive her own car, being given an $8,000 per month allowance, and being forced to have an IUD.

Spears went on to claim that she had convinced herself the conservatorship was right for her, however she finally broke her silence and officially requested her father step down as her conservator. After being granted her own legal counsel of her choosing, Britney's request came to fruition and Jamie Spears was dropped as her conservator for good!

Will Britney Ever Perform Again?

While this was a major win for Britney and her team, she will continue to remain under a conservatorship, however with someone of her choosing and access to her own money and decision-making. Considering she has been out of the limelight since 2017, many fans have wondered if Britney will ever create new music and take the stage again.

Although having the princess of pop return to the scene would be a godsend, it doesn't appear as if Britney is headed into the studio or stage anytime soon. PageSix revealed that Britney will not be returning to the stage, despite her conservatorship coming to a satisfying conclusion. Talk regarding Britney never performing again actually came about back in March of 2020.

Britney's son, Jayden Federline, spoke out regarding Britney's situation on Instagram Live, claiming that Britney won't ever sing again! Fans were certain this was due to Britney not wanting to fund her conservatorship any longer, considering her funds and current $70 million net worth were being exploited, and with her net worth previously sitting at $350 million, it seems as if that was exactly the case.

With the trauma she's undergone through all these years, it's no surprise that Britney wants to take this time for herself. Additionally, Britney has other plans at the moment, which include planning a wedding alongside her fiancé, Sam Asghari. Many fans are elated for Britney and don't mind her taking time away from the spotlight to focus on her and her mental health.

The singer is also reportedly planning on writing a book that ties into the cryptic and dark events that transpired over the course of her conservatorship. While it won't be a memoir or a tell-all, Britney has hinted at a novel following a character that fans assume will be based on her life.

So, while she won't be taking the stage, it's clear Britney will be busy living the life she hasn't been able to for 13 years.
