Though his run on 'Two and a Half Men' was pretty iconic, Charlie Sheen's career tanked when he was fired from the series. That wasn't his first brush with infamy, though.

Charlie has a long history of causing trouble and turning heads in Hollywood, and often his issues fluctuate between personal and professional. Unfortunately, his firing from the popular sitcom hurt his reputation in more ways than one.

What Was Charlie Sheen's Highest Net Worth?

The show that Charlie attempted following his boot from 'Two and a Half Men' wasn't successful, and after that, it seemed like he was on a significant downward trend. Currently, Charlie Sheen is worth a relatively unimpressive $10 million.

That's in stark contrast to his previous net worth of $150 million, which has everyone wondering whether he'll ever be able to make a comeback -- not just in terms of his career, but his wealth as well.

At the top of his game, Charlie could have competed with a lot of big names in Hollywood. But these days, Charlie's arguably less famous (or, perhaps, infamous) brother Emilio Estevez is worth significantly more than him.

So what are the odds that Charlie can get the money train going again and rebuild his net worth, and possibly his reputation at the same time?

Can Charlie Sheen Make Money On TV Again?

One of the biggest turning points for Charlie Sheen post-'Two and a Half Men' could have been his show 'Anger Management.' The show premiered pretty impressively, with high viewership, but it seemed to tank pretty quickly.

In fact, it tanked so quickly that Charlie's previously supportive co-star, Selma Blair, was apparently prepared to sue him for lost wages when she was abruptly written out of the series. Charlie has been quoted as saying that fans of his earlier sitcom weren't really into the new show, despite still rooting for his character, and that it was too dull to hold their attention.

Charlie seemed to say -- without actually saying it -- that Selma was the reason for the audience's boredom. Either way, the show ended after two seasons, so neither Sheen nor Blair got a chance to earn millions from that venture.

What Is Charlie Sheen Doing Now?

The next question is what Charlie Sheen is up to now, and whether any new ventures will prove profitable for him. So what other ways has Charlie been making money, and what is he planning next?

While Charlie Sheen used to make anywhere from $800K to nearly $2M per year, his salary seems to be stagnant now. In fact, Sheen's last film was in 2017, and his last TV appearance was on 'SNL' in 2018.

Clearly, neither of those paths led him to much cash in pocket. But Charlie isn't giving up yet, and is thinking up new ways to monetize his life, experiences, and acting ability. In early 2021, he stated in an interview that he was working on a new show.

Sheen noted, "I have absolute faith that the things I"m going to do professionally in Act 3" would redeem him somewhat, "put a muzzle" on all the negative things from his past, and earn him the kudos he feels he deserves.

Further, Sheen noted that once he makes his comeback, "people can celebrate me again for what I actually do for a living." That might still be a ways off, as people seem to like to stew in Charlie's past failures.

But he seems to have high hopes at some redemption, and better earnings moving forward.

How Much Money Is Charlie Sheen Making Now?

Though Charlie was fired from 'Two and a Half Men,' sources suggest that he continues to make royalties from reruns. In fact, a 2020 article proclaimed that Charlie "earns more than enough" from those reruns; the amount allegedly totals more than $80M, though there's no specific calculation on what timeframe that amount spans.

Charlie can't complain, though; originally, Fox's parent company, Warner Bros, argued against Charlie's earning any royalties because of how he left the show. However, Sheen reportedly won his suit against them, and continues to earn paychecks that are fairly impressive given that he hasn't acted in years.

At this rate, Charlie is well on his way to building back his net worth, if he can manage to keep his expenses down and add to his passive income in some way.

Because regardless of how much Charlie makes, he still has some hefty child support payments to contend with for all five of his kids. That means he'll need to make multiple millions per year to keep up -- or head back to court to ask them to reduce his responsibility even more.
