Just a few months after Cole Sprouse discussed the possibility of a Suite Life of Zack and Cody reboot on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Dylan Sprouse revealed whether he would be open to reviving the beloved Disney Channel show.

Back in May, the Riverdale actor (Cole) revealed that he doesn't think a Suite Life reboot is a good idea. He admitted that he’s "not the biggest fan of the sequel and the spinoff thing."

"I think it’s really incendiary. There’s a huge potential to kind of demolish that perfect little golden memory of a program if you go back and you revive it," he said.

"Look, I’m not the biggest fan of the sequel and the spin-off thing. I think also, if enough time elapses, everyone who comes back to a program like that — they’re not really in the same headspace, so they’re trying to capture the same feeling that it was in at least my childhood," he said.

He continued, "That sort of strange age of sitcom when we were four-camera, live audience, and filming in Hollywood - I don’t know how it would feel."

Despite Cole’s recent remarks, fans haven't given up hope for the possibility of a reboot. However, Dylan's opinion might be the final nail in the coffin: He has now also revealed that he has no interest in a reboot either. In an exclusive interview with iHollywoodTV, the actor shared his own thoughts.

“I don’t think that we will. That was just a role at the time. I think that a lot of the times, you see these reboots happening, and it’s kind of fan-service," he said.

"I also think that usually, they’re not as good, and part of the nostalgia is gone. I think the show remains special in a lot of people’s hearts and that’s how we’re going to leave it.”

Aside from not wanting to do a reboot, Dylan revealed that there are a lot of reasons why it just wouldn’t work, even if they wanted it to. Some fans speculate he is referring to the fall-out the brother’s had with Disney.

In 2017, the two told Vulture that they had a good idea for a Suite Life sequel, but Disney turned it down - and came back to them just a little bit later with a nearly identical pitch. When the Sprouse brothers, now adults, asked the company if they could be producers for the new show, Disney said no. In response, the brothers both left Disney as soon as their contracts ended.

Dylan said, “We were 18. If that isn’t old enough to know exactly what the show needs, then...well, I would beg to disagree. I don’t think Disney was willing to work with us, really ever. So we stopped the show.”

Even though fans won’t be getting a reboot of the hit series, they can still enjoy reruns. The show is currently available to stream on Disney Plus.
