Ferrell’s first son was born during the filming of Kicking & Screaming in 2005. Following the steps of his father, Magnus is working on his acting career. As proof of it, the teenage star made his big-screen debut in Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues at the age of 9. However, Magnus is taking his time. His last appearance in a movie was in If You Build the House They Will Come in 2017.
Magnus is also a talented musician. He enjoys playing the ukulele, piano, battery, and guitar. Fans on the internet are delighted with his sweet voice when he uploads videos singing on Instagram.
Mattias
Like his brother Magnus, Mattias made a special appearance in the movie Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues in 2013. Currently, Mattias is 14 years old. He enjoys having a normal life with his family and keeping away from the cameras. Despite having over 1000 followers on Instagram, he has 0 posts. At the moment, he does not seem interested in sharing his private life with the general public.
According to The Skeleton, Mattias is an excellent student and loves sports, especially baseball and basketball. This is why he is often seen with his dad and brothers at games.
Axel
Born in 2010, Axel is the youngest of the family. The three brothers appeared for the first time in a movie alongside their father. He has the blue eyes of his mother and the charming smile of his father. According to Daily Mail, Axel and Ferrell were seen spending one-on-one time at a Lakers-Pelicans game. Axel and his father are pretty close. In every picture together, they both look happy and look to be having a lot of fun.
A few years ago, Ferrell opened up in an interview with ABC News about his life as a father: “What happens with three boys is you end up barking out orders like, ‘Upstairs now!’ ‘Brush teeth!’ ‘Lights out!’”. The scene itself sounds pretty funny, right?
Despite the actor joking comparing his fatherhood with the same experience of running a prison, it is clear that he has a deep and honest love for his children. The comedian added "[When] I lose my temper and I become a dad, I often think, ‘Oh, if anyone was a fly on the wall, they’d be like, “Will Ferrell is not a funny father!".
During the premiere of Daddy’s Home, Ferrell took his wife and kids with him. On the red carpet, when Entertainment Tonight asked him about Viveca Paulin, in a very sweet tone he assured “my wife is very attractive, I just realized! I don’t know why she chose me”. Viveca Paulin is known for making part of the action-comedy film Money Talks and the successful Walt Disney production Ralph Breaks the Internet. The actress also has worked with the comedian before getting married. This happened in 1998 in the film A Night at the Roxbury with Will Ferrell as Steve Butabi, and Viveca as Porsche Girl.
The three sons get along together just like Ferrell and his younger sibling Patrick, who works as a director and actor. The entertainment vein in this family is very strong.
