When we think of Will Smith, the mind typically jumps to the likes ‘Fresh Prince’ or ‘Men In Black’. What we don’t necessarily think of, is Will Smith in a pollical light, or heck, discussing the 14th amendment. In his new docuseries over on Netflix, that’s exactly what Will Smith is set to explore. He’s attempting to educate the masses on what he regards as a very important subject.

He explained the importance of the episodes alongside Deadline, “We are living in unprecedented days as a society, as a country, and as a human family,” Smith said. “I believe that the cultivation of personal and historical understanding is the imperative spark igniting the flames of desperately needed compassion and healing. As Americans, we endeavor to form a more perfect union that truly establishes justice and equality for all. I believe a deeper understanding of the 14th Amendment is a critical jumping off point. Our hope with this series is to illuminate the beauty that is the promise of America and to share a message of connection and shared humanity so that we will be able to better understand and celebrate our different experiences as Americans and promote progress toward the true equality promised to all persons under the 14th amendment.”

Turns out thus far, the reviews are nothing but positive. In fact, Smith even received a strong approval rating from a source he typically does not.

Rotten Tomatoes Success

Fans aren't accustomed to this side of Will Smith and as it turns out, he’s getting some rave reviews early on.
