In the category of B-list actors, Woody Harrelson is arguably one of the most famous of the lot. While he's appeared in some impressive films, such as Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Zombieland: Double Tap, a lot of people our age don't know much about him...unless we love learning about talented character actors, rather than A-list leading men, like Brad Pitt or Ben Affleck.
Once very well-known, thanks to his long-standing role on Cheers, Harrelson isn't as much of a household name as he was during the heyday of Cheers. This might be why his daughter, Zoe Harrelson, isn't the subject of media fascination. She’s certainly not North West or even Blue Ivy. She’s just a normal kid who seems to have done some pretty extraordinary things.
We found out as much as we could, though, and we were a bit surprised about some of her achievements so far. No doubt she’s got more good things on the horizon, too.
12 She’s An Actor
“Ugh, another child actor?” We hear you all of you skeptical Sallys moaning! But trust us: she isn’t the same kind of child actor that most of them are. She’s got a good head on her shoulders, and her IMDb is pretty light. By the time most child actors reach 20, they’re usually phasing out of their performance era. However, it seemed like Zoe was just getting started.
11 Well, Kind Of
Though, to be fair, we’re not entirely sure acting is what she wants to do. Her biggest acting gig so far was a role in a short film for U2. She didn’t book it on her own, though. She and her dad, Woody Harrelson, got hired as a father/daughter duo. Would she have done this on her own? We honestly don’t think so, making this more of a father-daughter thing.
10 Privacy Is Very Important To The Family
Seriously, we can’t express enough how hard it was to track down information about this kid. Her privacy is so important to her, which we totally respect. Many children of celebrities tend to find themselves under intense scrutiny. Luckily for Zoe Harrelson, she hasn’t been subject to that yet, maybe because dad is a respected character actor, rather than a glitzy leading man.
9 It’s Hard To Tell How Close They Are
Because she hasn’t gotten the same press that other celebrity kids have, we’re not entirely sure how close she and Woody are. Obviously, his kids are important to him. Of course, dad is an important figure in almost any daughter’s life. However, the lack of photos of them together makes us raise an eyebrow. How close are they?
8 But It’s Not Hard To Tell What She’s Passionate About
School seems to be the name of her game. Her social media doesn’t seem to exist out there on the Internet. Instead, what we have is a YouTube account full of video essays, a certain video we’ll talk about in more detail in the next paragraph, and a whole lot of things that point towards her being incredibly passionate about school. We personally think that’s an awesome thing to be passionate about!
7 She’s Done A TedTalk
We’re not talking about a real TedTalk. That would be too much for one so young. However, there is a YouTube video out there that shows her performing a kind of TedTalk at her high school. We’re not sure if it was sanctioned by Ted or just inspired by Ted; either way, she’s got a long speech on phone usage up on the Internet now.
6 And Makes Dad Proud
That’s right - she did a full research study on the effects of phone usage on awareness, relationships, and family. We love the fact that she spoke out against gratuitous phone usage. Not only is she raising awareness in her little corner of the world, but she’s also inspiring us to put down our cellular devices sometimes.

5 She Got The Acting Gene From Her Dad
Woody Harrelson, for those that don’t know, was one of the guys in the original cast of Cheers. He was, in fact, the bartender on Cheers! That’s one of those shows that many of us young folks won’t remember, but trust us, the older generation knows it well. Woody was one of the most memorable supporting characters, winning an Emmy for his acting skills on the show. Above is a cute pic of a younger Woody with Laura Louie - Zoe's mother!
4 But Zoe Isn’t In The Big Leagues Yet
Zoe Harrelson isn’t in those big leagues yet. She’s been stuck doing school shows for most of her young life. Acting on the small scale is lots of fun, though, and we applaud her (get it? Applaud?) for pursuing acting as a fun hobby, rather than a career. So often, kids try to follow in their parents’ footsteps; we’re glad Zoe is keeping the pressure off. We do know that Zoe appeared on Entertainment Tonight, as herself, back in 2015. That's pretty Hollywood, isn't it?
3 Honestly, We’re Not Sure What She’s Up To Lately
Due to that privacy thing that we talked about earlier, though, we’re not sure she’s up to now. Her social media seems to be null and void, and outside of a YouTube channel full of school things, she’s really kind of unknown on the Internet. Unfortunately, this also means we’re not sure what she’s up to nowadays. Though, if we’ve learned anything about Zoe, it’s probably something related to school.
2 Probably Not Traveling, Although Her Family Is Well-Travelled
She and her family seem to love traveling. We’ve seen pictures of Woody Harrelson and his wife, Zoe Harrelson’s mother, traveling around the world. Sometimes some of his daughters are with him, but we’re not sure whether Zoe has gone on any of their worldwide adventures recently. (Well, as recently as the current world situation allows for).
1 We Can’t Wait To See If She's Like Her Father
No doubt she’s going to call on her clout one day soon to make a big change in the world. She’s already started making waves with her TedTalk-style chat, and we’re sure that there will be more impressive events featuring her as she gets older. That’s the nice thing about growth; you just keep getting better and better. Will she turn out like her father? Who knows, but she seems a little more chill so far.
