Clearly, 'Saturday Night Live' is doing something right. It's been on the air since the '70s, and though a lot has changed, the show attracts a steady stream of fans in every season and as the cast members have changed.

Fans like to hop online and chat about everything from their very favorite episodes to the most embarrassing moments ever captured on 'SNL.' And sure, there are some who admit that 'SNL' has a few shortcomings... Including the fact that not every sketch hits the mark. Or, rather, the audience's funny bone.

Though fans praise the show for all the ways it makes them smirk and even outright cackle, there is at least one episode that has a lot of haters because, they say, it was just plain unfunny.

Fans Of 'SNL' Say A J Lo Feature Was Not Funny

Surprisingly, plenty of 'SNL' fans have a least-favorite sketch, and one particular sketch received the most 'upvotes' on Reddit -- as in, fans agreed it was the worst. Unfortunately for the guest star of the episode, Jennifer Lopez, it happened to be a sketch she was in that caught the most criticism for its lack of laughs.

Sure, there's a laugh track tacked onto it, but fans suggest that the audience was essentially dead in the studio. But if the sign says laugh, they better laugh. So why did fans hate the sketch so much, especially when it featured J Lo?

The 'Wisconsin Women' Sketch Fell Short

The episode that fans referred to as 'that Wisconsin store sketch' aired in 2019 and was called 'Wisconsin Women.' The recap of the sketch from NBC kind of speaks for itself; J Lo plays one of three Wisconsin shop owners who cater to a city couple and, basically, creep them out and offend them.

It ends with a "bear" attacking one of the shopkeepers (she came with the store, ha ha), and then one of the "city idiots" taking selfies with the bear.

The problem was that the sketch fell totally flat, and there was a "practically dead audience," as the jokes just didn't catch. Even Twitter had a field day picking it apart; J Lo's Wisconsin accent, though not the worst of the bunch, wasn't 'on' enough to be funny.

Besides that, the whole joke was that Wisconsin women were rough, rude, and gross, but just in an unfunny way. As one fan summed up, "Oof yeah that one was kind of tough to watch wasn’t it."

And it was, but of course, that didn't really stop anyone from tuning in again the next week to see how 'SNL' would redeem itself this time.
