The actor has changed a lot since his High School Musical days, and obviously looks nothing like his teenage self. His "new face" has sparked much debate over the years, and most recently during his Earth Day appearance.

Zac Efron's post went viral for all the wrong reasons, with fans suggesting he could portray human Shrek...thanks to his evidently altered jawline.

His admirers presumed the actor had gotten cosmetic surgery done since his face looked noticeably different. A leading surgeon debunked the myth, revealing Zac had most probably gotten dental surgery...but fans weren't having it.

Fans Sigh In Relief As Zac's Jawline Returns

In a new photo shared by the actor today, fans noticed his face has returned to "normal" and his good old, fan-favorite jawline was back.

The actor shared a still from his Netflix documentary series; Down To Earth With Zac From, where he is seen tending to plants. He captioned the post, "Learning ways to restore the Earth’s soil."

Fans were relieved to see his old face again and flooded the comments section with praise.

@Anna.kowalskii wrote "So your face is normal!" while @davidericr shared "See that’s his face y’all stop attacking my hubby!!"

@jaciebrobinson added "There’s the jawline we know and love!" and @lisasmith1284 said "false alarm! He looks fine."

Some fans were concerned if the actor had taken the picture "before the botox" since his new face had completely disappeared.

Zac has been starring in the Netflix documentary series since 2020, and the first season followed the actor on his travels around the world to London, Iceland, Costa Rica, Peru, France, Puerto Rico and Sardinia. Down To Earth focuses on themes of travel, nature, green energy, life experiences and sustainable living among others.
