Any hope of having the anticipated Zoey 101 reboot come to life has been dashed away from fans. Due to the the intense controversy surrounding Jamie Lynn Spears' stance on her older sister Britney's conservatorship. Fans of the older Spears sister were divided on Jamie Lynn's stance.
Some believed that she is for the conservatorship, thus attack her by calling her a snake, while others were cautious and believed that she is supportive of the #FreeBritney movement behind the scenes. On social media sites such as Twitter, the majority leans toward bashing Jamie Lynn for her silence and her subtle comments on being kind to people and pray that all of this will end soon.
Due to a comment and post that Britney shared on Instagram, many people are speculating that she is calling out her younger sister, finally letting out the frustrations of having someone she considers close not being there for her. Ironically enough, Jamie Lynn liked the post.
As fans are freaking out about the possibility of Jamie Lynn being called out, Zoey 101 star Paul Butcher also chimed in, with the planned reboot being canceled for good.
Butcher played the younger brother of Zoey, Dustin Brooks, who is played out as the mischievous but smart kid who goes to Pacific Coast Academy alongside Zoey. After the show's end, he took on a music career to moderate success. He still continues to do singing and acting to this day. When the news broke out around the Zoey 101 reboot, he was all in and even expressed his excitement from Christy Carlson Romano's YouTube video featuring him.
However, that doesn't mean he was ignorant around the #FreeBritney movement. He expressed his support for the older Spears sister, commenting that she was a big inspiration to her and condemns her conservatorship.
Butcher took to Instagram Stories to show support again to Britney, sharing her post about being ignored by those closest to her. On TikTok, he even threw a bit of shade at Jamie Lynn. He responded to comments that involve about the reboot, and it's possible that the reboot won't become a reality due to what is occurring right now.
Another user wrote, "Whose Zoey? I only know Dustin and he was an only child..." and Butcher replied to it with the laughing and crying emoji.
Jamie Lynn will have to watch out if she sends out a statement regarding her sister's post.
